The mavs were just the better team. Props to them, they just did all the little things right and okc couldn’t, that was the difference. Props to luka and kyrie for being beasts. Props to shai also for keeping okc in the series. The thunder haven’t done their version of the pj Washington and daniwl gafford trades yet… thats this offseason along with the internal development of chet and jdub is what will help them moving forward. Okc has the brightest future in the league, with all their draft capital and great prospects i think they can get what they need to take this team up a level to compete with dallas,denver and Minnesota. They just didn’t have enough and the lights were to bright for them outside of shai.

Kyrie tip in if they hadn't called the foul on PJ's three. JDub didn't box out. Story of the series. Chet couldn't box out a leaf. Shai and J Dub missing backdoor cuts and forgetting to box out every single time. Very slow to loose balls as a team. Defeated mindset.
@jackiemoon59065 ай бұрын
Move Jdub out of the pf spot. He is a terrible rebounder. Idk what to do with Chet, has elite instincts for blocks but does not have instincts for rebounds. He need to watch that Dennis Rodman clip😂

Wherever Giddey ends up next season, he needs to spend the offseason with a bio-mechanist and come back able to hit the rim with his elbows. It’s very achievable. The world would open up for him on both ends of the court.
@greggandrew10015 ай бұрын
He sucks. Doesn't matter where he goes. He doesn't have the mental toughness or the ability to defend. Bio-mechanics are only a fraction of what ails him. Doubt he has any trade value either.

The series boiled down to one thing, what would the non superstars do. Oh Washington killed us, and their role players really did well. Our role players shrunk in the moment at times and that is it. The superstars their thing but jdub having a bad series, Giddey being terrible, no one but sga was just having a great game. Mean while we let pj Washington just go off.

The mavs and thunder will be rivals and will meet in the playoffs for years to come. Similar to the spurs mavs rivalry of Duncan vs Dirk. People forget that Luka and shai are the same age. Only old person on the mavs is kyrie. Rest of their core is 25 or younger. Gonna be some fun basketball in the future.

@bob_in_baja5 ай бұрын
In the upcoming draft please draft please draft a center/power forward with some beef. Chet is great but is probably 30-40 lbs to light to fight in the heavyweight division. Do I mean someone like Lively? Well yeah I do. Trades? No I do not suggest that. They are a young team and Sam seems to have a good eye for talent. Chances of finking a 7' tall center that weighs over 240 lbs for free that can play? That would be wonderful but seems unlikely. Durant? I just don't see that happening or being good for the team for that matter. Bob in Baja
@jackiemoon59065 ай бұрын
I wonder if they didn’t draft lively bc they didn’t want the pressure of playing him 20+ minutes and playing Chet at pf? Only playing Chet at 5 is more of a hinderance than if he played some 4 sometime. I guess with his shooting him playing at the 4 is impossible. Jwill being the only backup big hurt.
@jackiemoon59065 ай бұрын
Priority 1 should be moving Jdub off the 4. Him playing out of position irks me a bit. Why can’t Giddey play like a 6’8 Australian and be a rebounding point forward?
@Wrestle_Kingdom5 ай бұрын
Because he not a big 6”8 forward he tall but not burly at all he has limited shot creation skills can’t score unless in transition or has a ok to bad defender on him while also can’t finish unless the big is also bad as a rim protector has no mid range game so it basically contested layups or wide open 3”s which he very inconsistent at

He's so soft so disinterested in doing anything more than go through the motions. Dude is epitome of scrub. The call at the end was disgraceful. Ball first then forearm is not a foul is he shoots it, right? I think that should have been ruled a JUMP BALL, then we would getting ready for Game 7.

What a bummer of a loss...I am a (long time) Thunder fan from Israel and the game was at 3 am my time. I am somewhat happy that I didn't see it live as I would have broken the TV... On a bright side, Thunder showed their offense only in 2 games this series, the first game and this one. This one should have been ours, but ended up with a loss, game 4 should have been a loss and went our way. So, kinda even steven. Being bad and still winning comes with maturity. The key take from me is that JDub should get better in decision making, this alone would have probably been enough to beat the Mavs.

Luka is a psycho. At one point. he just starts smiling over the calls in a demented way. Who is he , the Joker? Then he makes a shot and this burst of anger overcomes him. Schizo! He acts like he is the only player or only team to be on the wrong side of a call. There is NO WAY the Thunder should have lost this game the way they held him in check and forced so many TOVs.
@johnnelson36655 ай бұрын
@@greggandrew1001 my theory is put the least important starter on Doncic. The Thunder really don’t have a least important starter. As all 5 play a pivotal role. It is easier defending Irving. So maybe they should’ve put Dort on Irving. Put Joe on Doncic. But then Doncic may score 50.
