@@byonemesis Thunder Force V had primitive 3d graphics compared to the beautiful graphics of IV. Arguably the music wasn't as good either, although it was still amazing. The only upgrade was the story.

This was one of my favorites back in the day. I played it soooo much I could easily get through the entire game without dying. I still played the hell out of it.

Whoa, unexpectedly, some of these bosses do make their return on Thunder Force 6(VI) some years after this one, but the Twin Vulcan came back as a pair of regular enemies instead of a boss. The plane used in this game also bears the resemblances of the Rynex plane on that series, so a future foreboding, perhaps? Magnificently done once again, bud. Perhaps after this, TF6 will be quite a exciting ride owo7

I still have the SNES version, Thunder Spirits, but a few levels here looked unfamiliar or different. I wonder if anything from this was removed for Thunder Spirits-or it could be my memory playing tricks.
