Oh. My. God. How have I not come across this video until now? This is the definition of why I love it when great people remix songs. I am a huge fan of Lightning/thunder force series TF IV and R-type are the soul reasons why I am so into shoot 'em up games and I must say, they don't make shoot 'em up quite like they used to. Thank you so very much for this bit of epicness.

This song is so awesome, I actually used it for a Gradius fan game called "Nemesis Online" where you can actually create and play on user-made Gradius stages. I made a Bosses-On-Parade stage with Fire Leo 04 "Rynex" as one of the bosses and this song plays to that battle. Thanks for making an awesome remix and I await patiently for the remaster. :)

@InstinctualJealousy Indeed, the lead and bass are MoR, and the rhythm is Shreddage run through GR4 and FL Hardcore. I found Shreddage to be a much more believable rhythm than anything MoR had to offer. Either that or I've just never figured out how to properly use any of the MoR rhythm guitars...

Lightning Strikes Again (which this remixes) is a year older than At Doom's Gate. The original song is probably based off of Lightning Strikes Again by Dokken, if there was anything.

Dont get me wrong, the track is well played and i admire devotion for anything like TFIV, but apart from exquisitely played i guess you didnt get the exact "tone" of the original tune. Get this as constructive as it is please :)

I actually agree with you. It sounds too "clean" compared to the nice, deep, gritty-sounding original, if you know what I mean. Don't get me wrong; this sounds great, but it's not kin to the original in terms of timbre. However, it could make a decent F-Zero X track. :P
