Thunder River at Six Flags Over Georgia on-ride POV

This ride is a blast. One time the raft we were on got hung up under the waterfall. We got drenched for like 3 minutes before they could shut the ride down and get us dislodged. Best time!

I also got stuck in the waterfall at one time for about that long it just kept spinning around till another boat bumped us and freed us , I went home just soaking wet 😅

Thunder River has been at this place since WAY back. At least since the very early 80’s. Maybe longer.

@@adua78 Thunder River opened in 1982 but it reuses some of the waterways and Rockwork from the Jean Ribaut Adventure ride that dated back to the late '60s. It's older, larger, and way more impressive than Dollywood's version
