Thunder Tiger Raptor 50 v2 - 15 years old but brand new!!

Tommy bought this old beauty and it has never been flown. Just collected dust for about 15 years. Even the radio is and old but brand new Futaba T9CP 35mhz in box.
Here are some clips from the second flight. The gyro gain is a bit of but it flies great.
Helicopter specs:
Csm Icg 180 Gyro. OS 50sx-h, Hitec hs 422 servoes around.
Pilot: Tommy
Camera: GH5 with 12-60mm

There is a rumor among model pilots. As someone once said: Electric model helicopters will never be possible. Today it is a brave action to fly a heli with loud and smelly combustion engine.(I bet, some of you guys will have tears in you eyes)

Lovely, I have 3, all on 2.4 though, one is main, 2 for spares all in 2.4 for them all was £380. I've got a trex 600fbl after I've finally destroyed these, they all fly awesome!

These were some of the best helicopters ever made. Super durable and great 3D machines. Good to see this flying again. I regularly fly my Raptor 90 SE with a 9ZWC2 as well.

I came of age in the era of long FM antennae but even now it looks ridiculous seeing that thing. I remember drooling over a Raptor 50 V2 during those days. I had a Nexus 30 back in the day which flew very nicely for a beginner but not so great for 3D. Thanks for the video, very cool to see someone bring one to life all these years later

I bought my first ever TT Raptor 30V2 back in May of 2008, it was such an awesome heli to fly ! These days I have an XL power 550 another awesome heli,however, I had a minor mishap so I need to change out the main gear,main shaft blade holder are and tail boom,minor dings to it but other then that it flies line a beast.

Sad this hobby is long dead. I had a Raptor 30 and 60 V2 and I still have my 90SE. All controlled by the same Futaba 9CHP.

@@goldenmanuever1176 sad for USA people. Yes there was a heli boom in this time around 2005. Some freaks found the way to this hobby, but quit some years later. But the old core of heli enthusiasts like me stayed. In our club in Germany we have 50/50% Fixed wing /Heli. And not a single drone, because it's boring as hell

Every raptor is different. Different servo, pitch blade and also different weather its all different.

You will find it in the info section of this video Sir. It is an old heading hold gyro for flybar. 3GX is more towards flybarless i think. 😊

Hi can u tell me what links do I set to get the blade pitch right is it the small ones one the grips or long ones on the swash plate

The ones from the servoes to swash is to set swash level. Use the long ones and make sure the short ones has the same lenght. It should be mentioned in the manual how long.

Get servoes engine and a headhold gyro and fly it😊 If not see if you can swap it at a swap meet😊

Just ask him is it two half turns out from closed with the petrol side and I don't no about other side is the one that's bugging me
