Mesoa merican arrows used the whole feather, tied one against the utrer, both sides of the shaft, at an angle to avoid the bow, sown in Codex drawings and still used in Lacandón long jungle arrows

How do you determine the fletching length for 5,6,7 foot darts. And how much twist do they need to make the dart to rotate. (Like a arrow fletching has a slight twist). Thanks, Gary.

I usually use full length fletching. We cut our feathers 8 1/2". We have found little advantage putting a twist in the feathers because the darts are too heavy and fly too slowly for it to work.

Hi! Is it important or usefull, to use different colored feathers, to mark the throwing position of the arrow? Every arrow, has a weak direction, who bends better. Do you prefer to have the strong or the weak side upwards, when you throw?
