They even got the physics of microgravity right. The main thrusters shut off and they use RCS to align with the rotation. Most other science fiction will keep the main engines glowing because it looks cool, but it’s unrealistic. This movie deserved so much better than the reception it got, it deserved a sequel.

However I agree that there needs to be another live action film, but not as a sequel to this abomination, it should be its own stand alone movie, but done in a way similar to how Christopher Nolan did Batman Begins, not intending to make a sequel but setting up the ending so a sequel would be able to pick up pretty much where the first one left off

Nice! Thanks for the upload. This is my favourite film so I'm glad there are more clips. I love the seriousness in this scene, the dialogue between all the tracy's, all the technical stuff. Just such a good film

What is the name of the music used when Thunderbird 3 docks with Thunderbird 5? Probably my fav scene from this movie. The seriousness on Gordon’s face really does hammer home the dire situation, albeit an even worst one is yet to come. Yes we all know that noise cannot travel through the vacuum of space, but it would not be as tense and exciting if there were no sound in the docking part of the scene. Imagine just seeing Thunderbird 5’s docking port swing round, and Thunderbird 3 latch onto it with no sound... There would be no tension or build up of drama/excitement.

I kinda wish they didn’t keep them all in the same suits cause apart from Jeff and John it’s kinda hard to tell them all apart.😂😂 But I do love this film and I remember having a huge crush on John when I was younger. Actually I do have a crush on the animated John to so maybe it’s just the character.

I remember seeing my Dad watch this when I was very young, and I got into more recently I watched a Trailer of it on my Shrek 2 DVD, And I suddenly Found Out that Jeff Tracy is played by Bill Paxton who played Hudson in Aliens, That I watched Earlier, To be Fair It is both Good and Bad, Like Transformers 3

@@jefffranklin4894 Yeah, that's what I hate about some Composers, they don't release the movie tracks and only do melodies of certain tracks, it's really really annoying having to hunt down certain tracks on YT, I mean some tracks aren't even available on YT

Guessing you've been hunting for the uses of the original TB theme, like the Oil Rig arrival, TB3 launch and Penny's emergency signal? I believe those were all added late in the day after the soundtrack album had been approved and mastered, hence why two of the cues on there use Zimmer's International Rescue melody instead and the teapot theme is absent entirely.

That was the sound of the connector clamps that you see coming from the corners of Thunderbird 3's air lock to connect onto Thunderbird 5's air lock, the way the sound was designed probably meant they were electric motors rather than pneumatic hense why it had a low tone like a yawn. 😉

Remember that it was saying over the speakers that the emergency power was at 10% so Thunderbird 5 still had some power left hense why the docking mechanism, the life support and the communications still worked at the time of John saying he was "losing all power", meaning once Thunderbird 3 docked Thunderbird 5 was most likely able to siphon the electrical power from it hense why they were able to survive up in space for another 4 hours. Also bare in mind John said "losing" not "lost", further reinforcing the point that he still had power for basic systems

Gives Brains the perfect opportunity to make improvements though! I like to believe that when TB1 and TB3 launch at the end of the movie, TB1's off to attend the mission the President called about and TB3 is going to start the emergency repairs on TB5 :)

This attempt of TB was an insult to the original Gerry Anderson genius . The estate must have got paid an absolute fortune to sign off on this. TB is all about the aircraft and machines so what did they do they changed them !. Nobody today could tell what the thunderbirds look like now because they changed them , but I bet they can recognise the originals from the 60's. It's like changing the classic 911 Porsche shape and telling you the new Hyundai two door is the new 911 Porsche and hoping you won't notice . There a reason why the iconic 911 shape never ever changes . It's like everybody remembers band names of the Beetles, it's the same with the original thunderbirds and their machines they each individually used. Why because its was good and people never forget. They were hoping people in 2004 wouldn't notice . Everybody in business knows when you buy a business that is doing well you never change what works . So what did they do they changed the 2004 TB2 and now it looks nothing like classic 1960's TB2 that people want and still remember . This was very disappointing and much worse than the latest three Star Wars sequels that got criticised for being just a rehash. If they had just kept the original designs of TB1 TB2 TB3 they could have got away with this . TB back in 1960's all about the incredible vision that Gerry had with his Machines and great stories and imagination .

Sylvia loved it and said that if they'd had the same budget in the 60s, they couldn't have done any better, while Gerry hated it. Personally I go with Sylvia on this one, it was epic.
