Why eliminated some scenes? When Dr Lang calling International Rescue; when Kyrano and Grandma are in the kitchen; when Virgil in Thunderbird2 going to the coralville hospital?

Why eliminated more scenes with the Main characters? Except Jeff disguise from Santa Claus; Thunderbird3 Launch; the preparatives for Christmas and the End scene; why eliminated every scene when Virgil on Thunderbird2 fly to coralville?
