When I saw this I was struck by the fact that, with a little more time, you could make an entire film by remixing stock footage from other films. Like the best dance music and hip-hop, it wouldn't neccesarily be derivative, in fact it shouldn't be - if done well it would be a genuinely new production in its own right.

There's so many cg'd action blockbusters from the 1990s to today, that making an "original" movie from old footage could work pretty well. Then shoot original scenes, and fix it all in editing software for a coherent look Like the movie Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, but better quality and trying to be serious instead of funny

+Infamous213 Not sure. It's only just been announced, no trailers or anything out yet. Rumours James McAvoy will ve in it (who is great). As for Michael Bay- he has already ruined Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as the absolute insult that was Pearl Harbour. I don't mind his earliest films like The Rock and Armageddon, probably because I was very young when I first saw them, but he hasn't done anything with any merit since then. He just makes a lot of money by filming big franchises on crazy budgets with incredible special effects, yet forgetting about character development, an actual plot, or camera angles that allow people to see what is going on, except in the moments where he needlessly objectifies women. There's plenty of ways he can ruin this franchise too, I was gutted the moment I heard who was directing it. Thundercats was one of my real childhood favourite cartoons, alongside The Real Ghostbusters and Teenage Mutant 'Hero' Turtles.

I loved this! It was awesome. People, please STOP judging them for the Garfield and the scene cuts from other films like TROY. Obviously, they didn't have the money to make the film. They did the best they could with what they could find so that we could have an idea of how awesome a film like this could be. And yes, if they can bring back Inspector Gadget, Smurfs, Herby the Love Bug, or do such great jobs with Planet of the Apes and others, why can't they do this? Plus, reintroduce the merchandise to match?
