Thunderlord is definitely a gm weapon and ad clear encounters in raids. This upgrade is really nice and I hope they keep this in mind when doing catalysts in the future.

Unless you have people running aeons I wouldn't recommend it, it packs a punch and deletes enemies very easily, but it has painfully low reserves even with mods, I ran a couple glassway nightfalls in legend and I was starving for ammo so bad only by taking down champions, I can only imagine how being under level would affect it, maybe if the burn is arc it would be worth it.

My favorite exotic in the game is a certified beast now. My only complaint now is its ammo economy. I hope Bungie just gives it one more buff to its reserves. It needs an extra 100 rounds to really be perfected.

Yeah, I've been using TL for a ton of regular content. It feels really fun tbh, and compliments arc 3.0 really really well. And I've been pleasantly surprised by the DPS.

It's great for champions but like you said, for that hydra with a shield it's less effective. Same goes for a boss that moves around a lot like Ketchcrash Master. It's hard to keep the sights on his head while he's porting all over the place.

pretty sure pairing this with font of might is crazy, considering the lightning strikes seems to proc elemental armaments for well drops (assuming you get and ad or 2 near a boss) you can easily have font of might up for that dps phase and go much higher :)

Has been my absolute favorite heavy weapon since D1. I personally was hoping that it's catalyst made it able to switch elements so we could get Abbadon and Nova Mortis with their respective 3.0 elements as well but oh well. Freaking love this thing. Aldo the proper name is "Thunderdaddy"

Nah, the element 3.0 changes are super half assed and poorly thought out. There's little to no synergy with any of them for a majority of weapons in the game

​@@justifano7046 That's a little too harsh, but they really could have done better. If they made Ticuu's Divination apply scorch, or make it ignite scorched targets, it'd be such a good combo. Makes sense too since it was literally the Pre-Solar 3.0 Scorch-Ignite combo.

Cataclysmic, Reeds, and Taipan are all the same gun Cataclysmic did the most damage so it's clearly better by Reeds and Taipan have a Chance to auto reload so that's good too. Comes down to preference

Since getting my Fallen Sunstar, I've been using a Vorpal Weapon Swarm LMG as I've had Delicate Tomb in my Special Slot. I was pretty happy with how it did in general gameplay, nothing crazy y'know? But it'll do for things like Dreaming City missions, Strikes that kinda thing. Then I got the Thunderlord Catalyst & started using it on my Hunter & Titan, you're not wrong about the insane ad clear! It RIPS through rooms of Red Bars, doesn't take much longer to destroy yellow bars either & against bosses it's respectable for sure & ease of use is waaaaaay higher than a Linear!

I went into the legend lightfall campaign solo with submission, forbearance and Thunderlord on arc warlock. wound up keeping that load out through the whole campaign. 😆 It's so versatile. And the way it stuns the tormenters is sweet as well.

If Bungo wants Machine guns to be ad clear weapons and boss dps weapons then they need a massive buff to their reserves. 500 at the bare minimum (Not including mag), ~600-700 with field prep/enchanced field prep. This increase would be around 800 or so with rapid-fire frames. and if you think this is too much then think again given how piss poor their damage is in comparison to other heavy contenders, and the fact that if they're supposed to be ad-clear but require multiple kills to proc (Very short timered) damage percs then they should damn well have the reserves to back it up to fit that job.

E15 bunker boss actually isn't bad long game wise because of the braytech security bots. Speed running sucks, but compared to some other bosses on Master, if you're going for flawless and triumphs, this one isn't too bad. Minotaur overloads at the boss are on another level though. They like to not get stunned. Lol

Surprisingly good. Only really struggles with ammo economy. Anything that doesn’t need you to do extended boss damage is great. Very fun on Golgoroth if you’re taking gaze or in totems. Not probably not going to be a top pick for GMs unless we see another lucent finisher (compared to Div or Monarque). But good nonetheless
