Not many people mention the reliability is gonna be top notch. The 1190cc Mill has been around for many years started as 1125 far as I know. Back in early 2000's with old Buell R&CR models and has been refined over the years. Good as any bike on market

I’m an early order deposit. My understanding was that it’s coming with the perimeter brake. I don’t care brake brand name. Just want what I “bought.” I have a HD Sport Glide (softail) with aftermarket 15” single and factory ABS. Don’t say it can’t be done. PS put me in with the black radiator crew.

I think the bike looks great. It’s not a chopper, bagger or vicla, it’s not supposed to look like one. People complaining about how it looks are missing the main point of this machine. I am used to replacing suspension, exhaust, etc., you have to expect that these days due to typical gov’t BS. I’m more concerned with the availability of a good service manual (not an owners manual, a service manual) than I am the color of the radiator or the supplier of the suspension. I’m in the middle of absolute nowhere when it comes to Buell dealers and service centers so I expect I will be on my own for maintenance. I do hope that options are available for the perimeter brake, but it’s not a deal breaker, especially if it comes with Brembo brakes from the factory. I expect that I will look to the aftermarket for exhaust. As for the suspension, I guess it will remain to be seen how good it is. If it’s like typical factory suspension I will be looking to replace it on the aftermarket as well.

Same boat as you man. I do my own maintenance on all my bikes and machines. I need that service manual, and it would be a great help if Buell decided to put out How-To videos on these machines. We’re in the new era and Buell can attract more customers this way.

They mentioned the brake supplier on Buells last update. Brembo was the choice. Do your research! Which is interesting through considering Brembo purchased Ohlins recently . Let’s see if they offer an option for Ohlins. Perimeter braking was supposed to be an option as well. Nothing new has been said since. Just looking forward to the V3 rendition as well as future accessory options. Keep the radiator raw!

It's so tiny, even with a short person on it.

Just for comparison the Indian scout 101 retails for $17,000 and is no where near the performance of this

Well, people who pride themselves in buying American would at least like the option to do so. Harley is offering that choice less and less, so it can sell cheaper and bikes and keep more profits for themselves. You don't have to care, but it's certainly nice to have the choice as an American to actually BUY American.

I really want to like this bike, but I can't get overt the frame, and the fact it looks like an afterthought, the negative spaces again just looks like an afterthought. The powerplant is also another issue for me, the engine in this bike just screams cheap, or China to me. RSD could have done a lot better job with the styling and aesthetics.

The engine "screams cheap"? That's a new one. There's nothing cheap, or China about it. The engine family has claimed two AMA Championships, has an insane power curve that pulls through the entire band, and is generally loved by those who have raced it. It's the same engine that set lap records the brief time it was in World Superbike.
