I heard apparently that there was a thunderstorm near The Beauharnois area in south western Quebec area. Nice video though.

Hi Matthew, Thank you for your comment! Yes, the thunderstorm cluster itself was located in the Huntingdon-Ormstown corridor, just South of Beauharnois (which is just to my South). The same cluster migrated farther East, towards the Napierville-Saint Michel corridor, before the lightning ceased. The small family of thunderstorms originated in the Ottawa area (and North/South of there), and then were sustained through newer developments with ESE propagation. The shelf cloud shown in the video formed as an Northern extension of the thunderstorm cluster.
