When we were stationed in Little Rock we used too sit out on the carport and watch and listen to the thunderstorms ,it was awesome . Sometimes we would wake up and find deer in our backyard. I miss LRAFB.

This brings back a memory! Three summers ago on a road trip through Kentucky, a hail storm kicked up quite suddenly, leaving me no place to secure my car. I exited the highway down a gravel ramp, hoping to at least partially shield the car in the woods. But right at the base of the ramp was a dealer in carports! I pulled into the nearest one just as the hail graduated in size from peas to shooter marbles and golf balls! The hail was followed by extremely violent lightning and tornado-like tumbling clouds. I sat inside, ate lunch, read a book, and even dozed off for a cat nap. It was over in two hours, at which time I went on my way in an undamaged vehicle.

Great sound. Love the rain. Heavy rain. Funny just started raining here in Florida. Must go outside and smell the rain and stand or walk in it.
