That was extremely beautiful. The sounds were perfect but the best part was seeing our children really having some clean fun. They were having the best time of their lives and didn’t know it. Thanks for sharing something good in today’s world

These are kids, given tools to be passionate about music, allowing them to play because they love it. Some of which, not typical instruments either. I think it’s amazing, for them, and for what they now may want to pass on to their kids one day. It’s a shame that so many people have negative thoughts or comments on this.
@myotiswii
@myotiswii 2 жыл бұрын
1. There are barely any negative comments 2. Some of these instruments the 'kids' are playing on, are 20 thousand dollars. They clearly know what they are doing, even just judging from the like 100k in equipment on the stage lol. 3. The instruments aren't unusual for a percussion ensemble

Baroque is actually a french word, yet English-speakers use it and rock and roll was an American creation. Music notation rarely uses any other language than italian... music is translingual. In other words, it doesn't matter what language you speak, if you're talking about music, you'll be using the same words as anyone else.

People hate imagination. So what if they took the idea from another group. So what if they used xylophone. They put a new twist on a classic. I'm excited people still value the old music enough to make a new version of it. Music is art. Let people express themselves in a healthy manner like this without all the negativity.

That. Was. Awsome! Wish there were more things like this in high school and college. Learn the classics, but also do fun things. A neighbor kid that lived across the street from where I used to live had a garage band. One of his friends could double-finger the Thunderstruck intro.

How can anyone go on stage with this super-bad timing? Everybody here seems to never have heard of something like a metronome. Most amateur school bands play this piece better in time than these guys. What kind of 'percussion'-festival is this? As a musician (bass & guitar) I have a bad case of second hand shaming here.

Not the best adaptation I’ve seen, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It shows two key things: 1. Creativity and passion for music, regardless of “format” or “style”. 2. How amazing a piece of music “Thunderstruck” really is. It’s not just a hard rock classic, it’s great music, no mater how you deliver it. It will be the AC/DC tune that long outlives all others.

So I am running through a cemetery (no idea why) at about 3:30 in the morning and my head strikes a low branch causing me to fall through a tarp and into an empty grave. As I see the cartoon stars encircling my head, I feel myself slipping out of consciousness, while simultaneously hearing this musical piece. Then I slip from this world into one arranged by David Lynch, Rod Serling and Roger Waters... When my lights come back on, it is morning and the this track is still playing. The worst isn't over because once the headache sets in Ministry will take the stage inside my head and I will truly be thunderstruck.

@foxdk
@foxdk 7 жыл бұрын
I'm aware. I have played in quite a few marimba ensembles myself. That still doesn't change the fact that this was too slow. The original piece from AC/DC runs at a steady 133 bpm, which makes it lively and keeps you on the edge of your seat. This cover was dragging its ass along the pavement, sinking as low as 125 bpm at times. I play a lot of instruments, but my main call in life is as the drummer. The last decade of me playing drums, has taught me that the number one important thing in any song, is keeping the tempo right. This ensemble did not manage to do that, even though the thought was spot on.

Yeah, the glockenspiel would get off every now and again, and the boards had issues staying together. I the guitars would go in between staying with the groove and just doing there own things. And while it is hard to play marimba fast, it is still necessary for a song like this.
