Anyone with half a brain knew he was just hyping the fight. Thurman loves and respects Manny and he earned Mannys respect in the ring. After a terrible start Kieth won a lot of the middle rounds but that vicious body shot really hurt his ability to comeback as he even said in the post fight.

The truth is that no one wanted to see a 40-41 year old PacMan fighting a younger fighter with a championship belt; no one gave PacMan a chance of winning until 2-3 days before the fight when interest grew as PacMan ferocious and unbelievable training sessions were shown on TV and KZbin. Thurman did help sell tickets at the arena gates and PPV home audiences. BTW, Thurman and PacMan are not enemies; they're simply two athletes that competed for a win in the ring; there was never a "good guy vs bad buy" scenario. Thurman's supposed trash talk helped ensure a great payday for both fighters. And Thurman stayed in the fight until the very last bell, still throwing punches, still trying to win, and never surrendering to PacMan's superiority.
