Thank you for addressing the colors in the product photos! I assumed that your brown vachettas were the Hickory; I was shocked that they were the Natural, which I completely agree look pinkish in the product photos. I hope that Thursday Boots sees your reviews and takes in your honest and observant feedback.

Your gripe about the shoes looking different in person and in their photos is a valid one, and extends to the boots as well. While two of the boots I purchased look more or less the same as the pics on the website, the last pair I bought looked VERY different. I don't kniw what they did to make them look the way they did, maybe treated them somehow to look more aged and have variations in color... but the ones I got were missing that look. Maybe after I've worn them for a few years they'll look similar? My Premier sneakers squeeked right out of the box, but after a few wears are quiet now.

Thank you for this. I am looking to buy my 1st pair and wasn't sure on fit. The olive green accent on the back of Legacy can almost look gray in certain angles. I don't mind that at all. Now to decide. 🙏😊

Im considering the natural vachetta and you confirmed my suspicion, personally wish the upper was a bit lighter for more contrast with the outsole. Might have to find one with veg tan leather, lmk if you’ve got any recs ;)

If you want your sneakers to reflect the more shiny finish, then polish them. These aren't cheap leather sneakers with a heavy polyurethane coating designed to cover up poor leather which remain shiny all the time. They will have a degree of finishing depending on variant but they are a (relatively) decent leather that requires some care and will dull over time. They appear a different colour from the product photos for the following reasons. Firstly, leather hides supplied from the tannery sometimes have colour variations. And if you're unlucky and they're careless/trying to reduce waste. you'll end up with bits of your shoes made with a different shade of hide than the rest. Natural shades like natural Chromexcel are particularly prone to this and can vary considerably. Secondly, your 2 year old sneakers will have aged and acquired patina (ingrained dirt) to some degree and though you haven't noticed it happening, they will gradually darken. Thirdly, most light leather dyes also darken with age and there is a tendency for all light brown shoes to migrate to some middle brown eventually. The exception are the white sneakers which do have a fairly heavy synthetic pigment over the leather as that is the only way that leather can be made white and when it wears and creases the pigment sometimes flakes off and shows the colour underneath.

@@ShadeSlayer1911 The leather hide will have variations based on the animal, but the final color is the result of how the leather was tanned and finished and that should be pretty consistent if you are doing things correctly.

I think yes and no. There is for sure some natural variation to all their shoes like you said....but not like this! I'm no leather expert, but I think they could get a more color accurate picture on the website, if even to depict the range of expected colors.

I have the renegade shoe and my goodness its so stiff and narrow! I'm a size 14 and never listen to people who claim to size down on shoes since I am wide footed. Ive had it for over a year and rarely wear them because they are so snug on my pinky! I wonder if I will have the same issue on the sneakers? To be fair, the renegades use patent leather so maybe that's why its taking so long to break in?

@@1hitgamer 100% agree. I’ve also seen videos that tell to size down, which is insane. I’ve made four or five Thursday boots videos., and in everyone in my experience has been that very narrow, and I’d recommend to half size up .

Waw, I was looking at your "pinkish" shoes and I was like "hmm I wonder which one he got" because I have been looking at their website daily and was astonished these look so light brown irl. I would even consider them know they look like that. Not that I don't like the pinkish in the website I just prefer a slight deeper pink (like the Oliver Cabell ones).

good video to shoe case the more realistic color! Was just wondering any comment on the leather laces that come with the natural vachetta? also is it hard to maintain/ clean? how is it react to rain and mud/stain? considering to get the natural vachetta but concern about the maintenance aspect of it. I have a natural veg tan vachetta type leather dog leash and it stain fairly easily and it darkens a bit unevenly after getting wet

thanks for the comment! I love the laces, though as with most leather laces they don't tie as tight as normal laces so have to double knot often. I don't live in a rainy or wet area so scan't comment too jcuh on that , but I've had them since I made this video and they aren't stained yet. Hope this helps.

By far the biggest issue with Thursday sneakers is that they are too narrow. Sizing up is an option but it doesn't always fix it. Some of their shoe types have wide versions but not all of them - the Legacy sneakers don't. It's a big problem with a lot of their shoes and they need to offer wide (EE) sizes on ALL of their different types.

Yep, completely agree. I dont even have wide feet, and they’re narrow for sure. Hopefully they’ll start to offer wide. Or just widen the default shoe

@@bmccook14 Another thing I noticed is that some of the sneakers have those nice gel inserts, but not all of them. My toffee sneakers still have the old ones that aren't comfortable, but my Legacy and my white Premiers have the nice inserts. I wish they'd let us choose or buy the better inserts separately.

I'm surprised that the heel construction of the white sneaker you had looks that way though. Mine is like the photos on the website for all variations of their white sneakers: without that cushion-like padding at the back. As a result, I can never wear my sneakers without socks that covers up to at least that part of my foot, otherwise my heel's skin always get rubbed off.

@@EDG I’m not sure. I now own 4 different pairs of Thursday boots/shoes , I like to keep them in the box to help retain that awesome chromexcel aroma. The shoe bag would have made it a lot more convenient, but I’m not complaining. Thursday makes a damn good boot for the price.

Hi, thanks for the question. I wouldn’t recommend them for standing all day at work, the padding inside is minimal and they kind of feel like vans. But they’re pretty good for walking around casually!

Specifically matching w/ chino’s I would recommend the Premier Low in white, the variety of browns or a brand that offers monochromatic color ways in the the color of the chinos. The pop of color on the Legacy heel are better matched w/ denim because that pop of color makes the shoe more casual just as denim is more casual than chinos. Shorts are also a better match w/ chino shorts because of the hem doesn’t sit next to the shoe, there is no urgency for the pop of color of the shoe to match or the color of the shorts. The point is, don’t go out of your way to match the Legacy, Nike, Adidas or similar white sneaker that has a pop of color to your outfit. Just wear them with anything like one would wear Air Jordan 1 retro “Chicago”. Just my opinion.

It varies wildly depending on fit. I actually made a video about creasing if you anted to check it out. Since the leather, they definitely kris, but you can minimize it with shoe trees and stuff.
