I know it may seem unusual for somebody like me to ask this, but who exactly does Tex's voice? Some sources say John Lasseter did it, since he created Tex, but my friend isn't entirely sure if that's true. Maybe Gary Rydstrom did it, but that's just speculation. If anybody knows who really did the voice of Tex, let me and Christian know. If you want, you can even take a listen to the center channel.

@@danielslade9485 Now that I say that, maybe John did voice Tex. If you listen to him saying "Uh-oh." in Tex 3: Action, it kind of sounds like John said it, maybe with some effects added to the voice. If only Pixar had some behind the scenes footage of how the first 3 Tex trailers were made.

I have seen this in Cats Don't Dance (1997), Finding Nemo (2003), Finding Dory (2016), Winnie the Pooh: Seasons of Giving (1999), The Tigger Movie (2000), Winnie the Pooh: Springtime With Roo (2004), and Pooh's Heffalump Movie (2005).

My friend recorded them in GarageBand for iOS and synced them together by using the real trailer’s audio track as a reference. The subwoofer was usually the last thing he’d record.

Tex flies towards the audience showing a cow can on his hand, which sounds odd. Tex shrugs, then flies around over to the X, and he opens a door to find a cable which he then plugs into the cow can. The audience can then hear some cows mooing, with the THX lifting into the air (Tex looks behind him staring at the logo), the words LUCASFILM LTD on the top appearing, and the background turning blue (Tex happily shows the audience the THX logo, and nods his head "yes"). Then the THX Logo starts shaking like crazy, because some cows are about to stampede towards the screen, but before they can, Tex freaks out, and flies away, quickly disconnecting the cow can from the logo, and the slogan "The best sound, the best picture, you're watching a THX certified feature." drops down. ©2000 Lucasfilm Ltd. & TM.
