Bloodborne has been my fav game since i played it back in 2016 for the first time... then again in 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2022. I had never found any game that scratched that itch for me, but Thymesia did. In my top 5 games of all time.

Yeh, I told all my bloodborne peeps about it when I finished it. Hopefully we see more from this game later.

Brillitant piece! It fits the game and its aesthetic perfectly! I doubt I would have enjoyed Thymesia as much as I did without your excellent music! Can we have the themes of Odur and the other bosses as well?

Though I'm sad to say I was a little disappointed with the final product, I can safely say the OST goes real hard.

Why were you disappointed?

@@eleventyeleven The game feel overall just did not gel with me. Some of the attacks felt like they lacked weight, the deflect mechanic is far too risky for what it offers, so I just found myself dodging a lot more, the level design and enemy placement felt off at times, and the story and lore felt very barebones and lackluster, the feather counter was incredibly hanky and unreliable, the wound mechanic tried replicating Sekiro's stance mechanic, but ended up falling flat for me, and the weapon variety felt very limited - spear was the way to go 9 times outta 10. I remember playing the beta and wanting to like it more than I did, telling myself, it's not the controls or the game, it's just me not being good at the game and once I crack the flow I'll love it, but after playing other soulslikes, it is very much the flaws the game has. I can't, however, say I was disappointed with the OST. The boss themes are very distinct and catchy.

@@perspicacioussimpleton7288 yeesh i pretty much disagree with every point you made lmao. One thing I will point out is what you said about the deflecting. I did a deflect build and while it takes getting used to it is by far a huge reward. Does insane white bar damage and feels super nice and cool to deflect that really long and tight combo. After saying this, Sekiro is my second favourite game of all time, so it’s no wonder I fell in love with the deflect mechanic instantly.

@@eleventyeleven Dang, with all that positivity and praise it makes me wonder if we played the same game! It's cool to see someone that found enjoyment in a game that I felt wasn't for me. I might try it again at some point and see if my approach was from the wrong place. In the meantime, though, we can both agree that the soundtrack is fantastic.

I just started and so far, besides the clunk and alright story, the combat is a big selling point for me, it's fun and intense with similar styles to Sekiro of course (the greatest combat system in history) So agree to disagree
