Thanks for drawing your own conclusions and not just reading the Thypoch talking points. Very much appreciated!

Kern used a similar depth of field scale for Bolex 16mm movie cameras. "In 1950, Kern-Paillard introduced a new line of lenses with a unique depth of field scale, termed "Visifocus". The Visifocus system consisted of a curved scale, indicated by a series of orange colored dots that appeared or disappeared when the diaphragm scale was stopped up or down. The dots provided a visual reference of the depth of field for different focus settings at each f-stop."

What's nuts is this lens is made by the Chinese cinema lens company DZO. Gonna be cool to see what else they come up with! Would love to see their version of a small compact submicron alternate! little 28mm f/2

Yeah man! I’m sure they’ll make it. Just love to see more alternatives!

Nice video! Do you like find the distance scale to be accurate? Saw some comments online saying it’s not, but I don’t know if those were just biased comments against third party makers

I find the distance scale just sort of difficult to use in every day practice to be honest - I haven’t measured the distance scale but it might be worth a test!

I have sold my Q2M and am looking for a fast 28 for my Leica M11M. How does this compare to the lens on the Q2?
@FrankDavalos6 ай бұрын
It’s not a Summilux if that’s what you’re asking, but it’s still an awesome lens and obviously much more inexpensive!

I have to disagree. The build quality is far better than any Voigtlander
@FrankDavalos6 ай бұрын
That’s cool that you’ve had every Voigtlander lens… 😉

@@FrankDavalos No. We sell them. Amongst many others.
