Hey folks this one is about what has been up with my health and why the videos took a long break.

G'day Darren, OMG you poor thing. Carlos has Hyperthyroidism. He gets his T3 & T4 levels checked every 3 to 6 months. He is taking Levothyroxine. I will continue to keep you in my prayers my dear friend. Thank you for sharing! Blessings to you and your family!🕊✝🙏🏼💖

Thanks Cynthia. I get the heavy hitting Medication Carbimazole or PTU, my body does not like them, had a few reactions but worth the price if it cures it, hopefully with the decreasing medication levels the side effects will decrease too. God Bless you and yours too

Jeez mate. You've been through the wringer! I'm no preacher but if this helps, my wife had her Thyroids out. She obviously takes meds now but 2 years later, she's never been better. I don't know how your emotions have been but she was all over the shop (the poor bugger). All that has gone away and the world is a good place now. That's my sincere wish for you too Darren. And, I hope all the other men out there are saying, "much better to get onto this stuff early, than it is to stick your head in the sand." Thank you for sharing.

Luckily mine is manageable with the medication and hopefully reversible as well. just a matter of monitoring the levels for 12-18 months and hopefully remission, if it doesn't decline or re occurs then the more serious options,

Thanks Roberta, the levels are correcting really well, lucky to have a doctor that caught it and put a treatment plan into action so quick. Hopefully a full recovery in another 6-12 months

I'd noticed you had been dropping weight but I had thought you were just dieting. So sorry to hear you were really unwell. I'll be praying for a quick recovery. I hear sleep is great for healing faster so rest as often as you can. Take care my friend.

Lol hard to diet when you eat once a day. Unfortunately it was just the I’ll health that caused it, medication is winning the battle , and this is something that you have no choice but to follow the doctors and specialists. Thank you for the prayers

Brother can I suggest you do a 5 day juice cleanse? I juice on going and it really cleans you out and removes all the trash etc. Blood pressure etc all back to normal. I feel like a new man. You are in my prayers.

My blood pressure is back down to normal through the medications, I normally avoid medications but this is not one that can be avoided. Medication, Radioactive Iodine or removal( then meds for the rest of your life). I was not to far from being in the passing away stage of the illness so happy to take the medications and my diet is not something I can play with through this, taking food away and replacing it with juice would not work great for me at this stage.

Yup was borderline, just not knowing what was going on, luckily I have a great GP. Could still lose a few kg, but prefer to do it healthy

Hopefully you got an Ultrasound on your thyroid to rule out Graves’ disease and a thyroid antibody test to determine Subacute Thyroiditis which is a viral attack and temporary. Had all the same symptoms as you (secretly loved the weight loss while eating what I wanted and not feeling the cold in middle of winter). Turned out I had Subacute Thyroiditis and not Graves’ disease and am grateful my GP didn’t put me straight on medication to destroy the thyroid because it would have turned a temporary condition into a permanent one and the need for medication for the rest of my life. Hope you’re getting good quality care.

Lol Helen I am not a doctor and don’t even come close in my knowledge. I have been told Graves’ disease and that it should clear up on the medication that I am on with time. Here the treatment profile is for reduction of hormone rather than destruction of the thyroid. Working so far but still in the early days of treatment so time will tell. My levels are back in healthy range and hoping to reduce medication in a few days after the latest test results. Considering I was really not to far from devastating system failure, I am really happy with the progress.

Levels are coming back into balance, but this is not a condition that you can fix without them. Without them meds I would be on the other side of the daisies

Yikes! Radioactive iodine!? We take a good iodine daily, and because a lot of illnesses can be stopped. Had wondered what was up. Prayers for healing 🙏

The thyroid is and iodine accumulator hence the radioactive iodine to deaden the gland. This was it, wanted to get my head around it and starting on recovery before letting everyone know, hard part about being so public is you have to have your head in place before people start to comment.
