These are the lifts that serve the main wards at the Royal London Hospital. These are some of the first UK installations of the ThyssenKrupp Twin, with two cars operating independently on top of one another in the same shaft. At the time of filming, these were extremely busy as two of the lifts, 5A and 5B, were undergoing maintenance.
These use the European-spec DSC Destination Dispatch system, which is required to prevent overlapping destinations by the lower and upper car. This is the first stage in a 4-level computerized safety system that keep the two cars separated. In this video, because of the heavy usage, the upper car of 5C executed stage 2 of safety measures, stopping at the nearest floor twice on the way down to allow others to use lower car. No calls seemed to be placed at these floors by others.
Beno lifts first found these lifts around when they were first installed in 2012. Here are some of his videos...

Good channel to check out for in-depth looks at lifts, urban exploring, transport, etc.
Is 5C the only lift that is twin in this core? I know 5D isn't, but since 5A and 5B were both out of service, I couldn't tell...
I will see if I can return here to get a better retake now that the 15th floor is apparently open... no promises but worth a try
