Ti Lite VI or 6 Original and Replica versions

I think both are authentic Cold Steel Ti-Lite models. I own both versions. The one with the smaller holes would hang up in the locked position but I smoothed it out. Both are super beefy with solid lockup and no play. Great quality.

I tested both the molecular structure of the 50 bucks blade is better material whereas the 25 bucks is cheaper steel.

I wish Amazon had this and similar knives. Trustworthy, free shipping and I have a gift card but they have zero cool stiletto's. First off they should have a decent selection and secondly I have no idea why the vintage style switchblade look is so unpopular. I guess they are still frowned upon?

I have 2 from 6/2006, I wonder if I have an original with the Zytel handle. Oh well. Let me know please. Lol thanks! The funny thing is I bought the 6" and the 4" directly from C/S... Ok, dug out the old receipts. I bought them from Lynn Thompsons Special Projects @ $55 for 6" and $45 for the 4" Zytel handle. What do u think sir?

I mean absolutely no disrespect brother, just saying that those both are authentic cold steel knives. The one with the holes down the center is cold steels first version of that series. You can even go to their archive catalog on the website and see that you have an authentic original version. Great video regardless!!! Keep the one with holes down center!! A collector!

hey man. I have the same knife (copy) and the liner lock has the same issue. I watched the video of the russian guy fixing it and had no Idea what he was saying. How did you fix it?

Kyle Roberts , The Russian guy used a small file and removed a little metal from the tang and liner, I on the other hand used a Work Sharp and removed a small amount and did what he did and put a small groove line in the center of the tang where the liner, lines up with it,,I could not understand what he was saying but he should what he did and it worked for me very easy with the Work Sharp sanding the small amount of metal.

Enjoyed the review. Trying to figure out if I should grab the aluminum handle with s35vn for $95 or zytel with aus8a for $52. Any suggestions? I had the zytel one years ago and it worked just fine but those aluminum scales are gorgeous

I like the reviews on the aluminum version and the zytel is cool ,if you can handle the price get the aluminum one ,or get the zytel and put the aluminum one on hold.

to me a replica is a flattering attempt to copy something that cant be acquired by other means because something is out of production and has been for decades. they are still making and selling the ti lite knives. i would call this a fake/clone/copy/rip-off/counterfeit etc etc. thanks for the comparison. mine will be arriving tomorrow and i will be making sure i get the real knives

Jason I got the term replica from the channel the I saw how to fix the lock up from , it's good of you to want a original and I have no problem with those other names you prefer because they are the more common ones. Cold Steel copies are not Cold Steel knives and can be dangerous, so be prepared to test the lock up on your new CS ti lite copy for safety and do the small adjustment to secure it from failing ,personally I have two of these copies and they work nicely after what I did to them . Thank to the Replica Channel by the Russian speaking gentlemen I was able to see how he fixed him ti lite copy.

@@jimboethefirst7418 dude, i ordered two and my package was ripped open and some one tapped it back up but not before taking one of the knifes. anyways i received one of them yesterday and i can not unlock the lock when its open. i have probably stronger than average hands and i have been playing with knives for about 20 years. i am sure this is authentic but this lock makes me not want to play with it much. did you modification help you lock or unlock it? i see you were able to close the blade on both of yours easily. please advise, thanks

@@jasonbrown467 First that a shame about you package, and with the knives I purchased it was to fix them so they would lock. But if you still have not unlocked your knife use a coin or a small flat tip screw driver and turn in the unlocked direction. But that is awful what happen to your package.

@@jimboethefirst7418 lol bro, i was using a screw driver and using my desk as leverage to open and close the knife over and over and over to try to break it in. one time i applied to much pressure on the blade and unlocked it with the screw driver and it slammed closed on the back side of my hand. my god it got me good. i saw a part of my hand i wasnt supposed to see. anyways the cut was onlyt 3/4 inch long but deep it was so sharp the cut was so clean to the bone from the top. ok that shit was gross and i didnt do any permanent damage and im tapped up and back at it. btw i still am trying to figure out why this knife is so hard to get the lock to release.

@@jasonbrown467 Yes they are very sharp I cut me self with one of the clones to it slipped out of my hand and fell blade first on the inside of my left foot and a clean slice just behind my big toe ,I cleaned it and put Triple Antibiotic Ointment on it tissue over that and taped it very tight ,cut healed up and now because no nerve or any thing serious was cut its like it never happen , but yeah they sharp for real . it was my fualt it slipped out my hand. I'm grateful it healed very good and quick now me and the knife are blood bound 4 life. Peace

Good video Bro, I also have the knife real and clone. with you in the USA the price is better for the real one 50, clone 25. with my in Holland is a real 195 and a clone 25. but I still trust the real one more when it comes to life and death. but the 25 clone is okay for the money

The problem is the heat treatment , you don't really know if it's Aus 8a , and the liner lock quality is not the same as Andrew demco quality so ,that's a knife I can't put my life on if I'm really in a pinch. Your paying for design quality , and safety in my opinion .if it ain't cold steel it's a fixed blade for me.cut and dry.

The Original is always going to be better with a item by Cold Steel and the replica is dangerous if it's not modified to not fail and close. So I agree if Andrew Demko did approve of it it's questionable and can very possibly harm the user ,sad to say ,⚖️📸⚖️

Are You Absolutely sure the copy version isn't a actual cold steel vintage version maybe I am wrong but what you might think is a copy you might have an authentic but original design earlier 2000s not Recent Cold steel Manufacturing. Great Video Sincerely Thomas Raymond Fresno California.

It required some handy work on the tang and leafspring liner lock to stay locked and not fail ,it maybe possible but I'm a little more inclined to think it's a copy .But because I was unfortunately not purchasing CS knives & products until a few years ago I most certainly cannot say no its not, I'm just more inclined to believe it's a copy.
