I also want them both in Aluminum scales, they are not on Amazon at all right now but when they do ,the new steel version S35VN is going to be a hit out the park for me. I put off getting the one 6" version you have and the 6" AUS8a in Aluminum the Zytel 4" I have but really want a all metal scale version now.

That's a Magnificent Lock and Cold Steel calls it a Leaf Spring Lock and rightfully so because it's no ordinary liner lock by no knife company standards. Both is better.

Youre right. Just wish I could get my hands on an all metal 4" ti-lite in CTS XHP.

Cold steel Luzon has the liner lock and secondary lock as well.

Good to know, thanks. I may end up getting the Luzon eventually.

Just got mine today 🥳 in OG green with blackout blade . Your comment on super steel had me rushing to the comments section. I have the cold steel san mi steel, 3v steel and the srk in SK5 ...my favourite is the sk5 that thing at fraction of the price is a wrecking ball . When its sharpening time the sk5 always has a finer edge .I was put off cold steel by the bad press they get on youtube everyone was a hater until the last few years . Even though the company has changed hands and direction they still put out quality products. Great strait to the point😉 review. Thats what Brought me here the time stamp and obviously the knife but you get my meaning

That's awesome man, appreciate the positive feedback

It's now made in S35VN which is arguably just as good if not better.

That's awesome. Got to get my hands on another 4" blade in s35vn and an aluminum handle.

Ive been wanting a cold steel folder for awhile. Torn between al handles in the 4in vs the 6in.... ive got big hands, so im torn.
@degenerateWA2 жыл бұрын
I recommend the 4". IMO it's a more practical everyday carry knife. Ideally I would get both, but if I had to pick it would be the 4"
@projectblack24622 жыл бұрын
@@degenerateWA thanks for the advice! I was kinda leaning that way. 4in is a more common size for a folder. Plus itd be nice to comfortably carry on occasion.

How can I make the pivot move more smoothly? I have the 4 zy tel and I’m finding a bit of resistance, like it’s rubbing against something when opening/closing manually. Is that normal?
@degenerateWA4 жыл бұрын
Sounds like the pivot screw is too tight. Just unscrew it until you reach the desired level of resistance (however this will create the risk of the pivot screw unscrewing completely over time after many openings/closings of the blade, so eventually you want to completely remove the screw, apply just a little bit of loctite to the screw, and then screw it in to your desired level of resistance.)
@justme79204 жыл бұрын
@@degenerateWA the top small screw (there are 4 small screws and a bigger pivot screw as you know), every time the blade was opened but not locked would wiggle and make a sound, took me a while to figure out where the sound was coming from. When fully deployed not a single sound. I don’t understand how it came new like that. I used a torx 6 to tighten it. Could that have something to do with the pivot? I dont think so. Do you know what torx size for pivot screw? Thank you

Is the 6 inch version you have the zytel version? I am looking into getting it and it seems they changed the style of the zytel handle scales over the years.
@degenerateWA4 жыл бұрын
The 6" version is the metal version which I think is far superior in overall fit and finish, however I'm sure the zytel version is more practical for overall weight when it comes to EDC.

Doesn't the wave create a hole in your pocket though?

If you're whipping it out constantly then it will wear through your pocket

Isn't linear Lock going to break in case of stabbing?
@degenerateWA4 жыл бұрын
There is always a risk of lock failure whenever you use a folding knife with a large force. But the liner-lock on the Ti-Lite is one of the strongest on the market.
@northernninety75 жыл бұрын
An overly tight lock is unnecessary till the point that it's bad. Back locks are strong enough.
