@angela_tarantulas3 ай бұрын
It’s not because of the color, but the fact that backyard breeders are breeding just the desired color, not watching for the character or health of the dogs and not considering the genetics at all.

I have seen dogs like this a hundred times on Cezer 911, not just pits. It is the owners energy and a lack of structure at home and not genetics that is the problem. Some dog's are insecure and need that structure of a strong pack leader. They can become incredible dogs around others as long as the owners energy is under control. I own a completely blue pit, no white, and using Cezers techniques she is now a therapy dog.

I disagree that the dog "wouldn't do well in anyone else's hands." It would be great to have Cesar Millan evaluate him - he'd be honing-in immediately on the owner's soft emotional energy. No disrespect to the owner, but it takes very strong leadership to manage a dog like this - bc dogs like this need ongoing *management.*

I totally agree. I have a Rottweiler in puberty at the moment. He is chaotic when we go outside during daytime since his puberty kicked in. He will be hybrid trained to be my certified PTSD service dog, just like my last Rottweiler, who had the same problems during puberty. I know it is not only the huge amount of testosterone in puberty, but also my PTSD anxiety among people that's causing the problems. So we do long walks at night in nature to explore different areas together. Working off his high energy in the forest and fields together with me, and without my anxiety due to lack of people, really helps. People tend to neglect the age of a dog and the certain developmental phase, as well as the owner's energy. Cesar Milan is the best way to tackle this behavior, which is fortified by confusion and not by aggressive personality.

That pinch collar will do nothing but agitate the dog. He will feel better without it.
@rachelcameron71833 ай бұрын
it shouldn’t be that low and should be high up behind the ears, but prong collars don’t “pinch” the neck no matter where it is on the dog. As a trainer that occasionally uses a prong I will comfortably put a prong on my own neck and pop the leash and dogs have more cushion with hair. At least herm sprenger brands has a balance plate that distributes the pressure evenly. It doesnt agitate that dog any more than having no leader or structure in his life, the real problem is this owner doesn't know to handle this type of dog. Im unsure why Tia just basically diagnoses this dog where i think this dog is trainable, with the right calm and confident owner. Also not sure why they don't have this dog muzzle conditioned for everybody's safety, it would make the owner a little less anxious.
@Theorist93 ай бұрын
I will not walk my foster dog without a herm sprenger prong collar. He is nuts without it and well behaved with it. I cleared it with the rescue first (after describing our walks). And my very professional dog trainer also said it was the best solution for him. Some dogs just require alternative solutions that other dogs may not.

I had a Red Wolf/Malamute mix and he was given to me at 6wks. He was always a love bug except when ppl were sitting and moving their feet he'd get aggressive and dive under my legs like I had to protect him. At 1yr he got worse as he got older😢 never toward me. I make it clear with my dogs I'm in control. He bit my sister 2x because she antagonize him even though I warned her, I should've whooped her. But he bit my son 2x for no reason, and went after someone else I grabbed him in time. I got bit but it honestly wasn't intended I got the room cleared out and calmed him and the situation. But 1wk later he was completely out of control he still did as I said but I knew his breeding was the issue as wolves and Malamutes are both attitude. I had to surrender him for everyone around me safety. I took him to a wolf sanctuary they took both wolves and wolf dogs. I'd visit in a distance so he couldn't see me. I wanted him back but it wasn't safe for family. I went nt one day they said they had to put him down because he was attacking everyone and thing like he had rabies but all test were great. I left sat in my car in tears. Ppl don't think of consequences when breeding and it's ppl that keep buying them is why it's still done. My husband is the one who gave him to me. Rusty definitely didn't like my husband. My Staffordshire she had absolutely no anger issues until it started getting dark and on her own training herself when the sun started going down even at 8wks became a 250lb protection mode. Ppl need to stop the mixed breeding and do their education

@k_spats2 ай бұрын
Cesar Milan could fix that situation in two weeks... If not, two days. It IS Alexs' fault, I'm sorry. The dog is picking up on her energy. The dog needs calm, assertive energy from her. And, the dog needs discipline, exercise and boundaries. (Not rewarding "bad behavior.") No touch, no talk, no eye contact when she sees him and then start the training; consistently is the key. Just watch some of Cesar's videos and learn. It's always 99% the human's fault.

@lisasternenkind64673 ай бұрын
This dog is confused, not aggressive. And this dog also has not enough chances for getting rid of his energy. He needs long walks with the owner in nature for strong bonding and secure relationship. The owner needs to walk the dog more in unfamiliar regions. This way the dog will learn that he can rely on his owner to safely take him back home again and at the same time have fun investigating new surroundings *together* with his owner. The dog believes he has to protect his insecure owner when going outside. This will never be solved in the way this so-called trainer advises.
