Just to mention, emergency stop evaluated from non safe logic solver (for example non safe cpu) is practically illegal by the safety regulations. Is only legal if used as process stop not emergency.

Completely correct! Although it highly depends on the region/country... but in most places it is mandatory (although I prefer using emergency stop relays in many cases)

Can you reference a specific standard and an exact quote. ISO 12100:2010 "Safety of machinery" is too general ISO 13850:2015 "Safety of machinery - Emergency stop function - Principles for design" .... maybe there but I don't have the standard Tha abstract states: NOTE The requirements for the realization of the emergency stop function based on electrical/electronic technology are described in IEC 60204‑1 And what if you program the the E_STOP button as a hardware interrup.

True, before you push your machine to customer, and give machine CE mark you should do risk assessment. After that you can say what is dangerous, and what PL you need. So if you have low risk, you can make safety on one channel regular PLC.

Would only install it if neccessary... it is an extra license that you have to get. Don't waste money if not needed

For mangodb you can node.js and open user communication protocol . Or you can try Rednode, similar just graphical.

Hi2u! On ur cycle aqusition diagramm there are gray simple 1 cycle and a lot of safety aqusitions. Are they both in one F-plc? So i have simple blocks in my F-plc and safety blocks, and they are working like inturupt sub program?

ich frage dich immer und immer :D, ich will wissen was für VM du benutzt, oder es Tia-Portal auf dein Host-Rechner, ich benutze Tia-Portal auf VMs aber Tia-Portal ist langsam besonders wenn ich die Simlation aktiviere, kannst du mir bitte raten, was könnte der Grund sein ??, mein VM ist so groß und mein Host-Rechner auch

Also ich nutze es auf beide Arten. In den Videos aber ohne VM... es braucht ganz einfach starke Hardware. Sehr wichtig sind eine schnelle Festplatte (ich benutze eine M2) viel RAM (ich hab 32GB) und ein guter Prozessor (Meiner hat 32 Kerne). TIA reserviert sich einzelne Kerne vom Prozessor, besonders beim Simulieren ist das doof, da jede Simulation einen einzelnen Kern reserviert... vielleicht mal im Task Manager schauen wie viel da noch frei ist. Generell ist das Tool aber leider manchmal langsam. Auch die Projektgröße ist wichtig... je größer das Projekt desto langsamer wirds
