Hi Pete! No canadian roots here, but I've been in contact with a lot of canadians through my job (maybe something rubbed off on me). I was actually scheduled to teach at SFU in Canada next month, that would have probably made me 1/100th canadian 😅

Sorry that your account got locked, but the link always has and still does work fine... it simply leads to a OneDrive file that I uploaded on my personal drive. Hi Phillip. This is awesome! Have you ever had any issues simulating the Compact_PID with PLC Sim. I was able to download a Compact_PID program to my physical PLC, but the PLC Sim would not work properly. Anyone know what version of Compact_PID you need to use in order for PLC Sim to work properly in V15.1?

From my experience it might be timing issues (that is why I put the PID block in the 1ms interrupt routine). But it should generally work, never had severe issues

A huge part of it is mathmatics to create a nice tank behaviour. And another big part is "Scaling" and "Unscaling"... most parts could probably be still improved, I might make a video at some point

@@hegamurl7434 yes i was part of the livestream. During the livestream I requested u to show the scan cycle/scan time when you mentioned a part of the program is really taxing on the hardware. Great effort to share the knowledge! I plan to follow step by step and reconstruct it in TIAV15.. I just couldn't help but remember that episode of cow and chicken...free trailer

Hello Hega. I'm from Argentina and I'm an automation engineer. Thank you very much. The simulation is incredible. I enjoy teaching in automation. Did you use the "LSIM" block library for the tank behavior? I guess, the best option is for a first order system with delay. (LSim_PT1).

Could you make a project for S7-1200? Because my trial TIA license has already expired and i only have Basic license. Or isnt it that complicated to reinstall TIA portal?

Get virtual box free version. Create vm, install trial on vm. Delete when expired and create new vm again.

That not necessarily a transfer function these are just the control variable and process variables of the PID control loop(block).
