I dont get how you think that you being slow is strange. Your teammate is slower than you meaning that you are performing well. Your car is just the 4th best car on the grid so if you drive well then you could do well, but you are not automatically going to be in contention for the win. The McLaren has similar straight line speed, better Aero and a better chassis. It is just better than your car.

My point is that he seems to think that he should be able to compete with the McLaren. He cannot. Alonso is 1.4 seconds faster than him consistently meaning that over a 29 lap race he will end up 40 seconds ahead, not taking strategy into account. Ben is fast, which is shown by how much he out performs his car, but at the same time he is limited by his car. If he can beat Alonso on track in a single race then i would be impressed.

Season 4 is even more engaging ! And your drives are on point with good strategies. But how did you get away without using the Softs in the Race ? They were the mandatory tire. Right ?

The mandatory compound was either the softs or the mediums, meaning you have to use at least one of the two compounds at least once in the race. The point of the rule is to keep drivers from continuously putting on the softest compound and not touching the others

If you wont reach the level of Mclaren throughout the season, you should switch to a middle field team like williams or renault because then you wont need to fight for the win. You would upgrade your car and naturally the other teams will get a bit closer to Mclaren. So when you finish season 5 in a mid field team, you should get force india/mercedes/redbull/ferrari contracts for season 6. I think that would be more interesting since you arent close enough to Alonso and being in the midfield would bring out more battles.

Any tips on disabling traction control with wheel and pedals? It's the only assist I use, on medium I can compete happily with AI at 110%. Turn it off completely and I struggle to complete a lap. Learning curve seems extreme.

lol i find it hilarious how people askef for a change of teams because of fear of getting boring. now we have a monster in alonso who isnt even getting competition to get 1st. the guy is a 1 second a lap faster even on the same compound. its obvious. alonso will win thr championship by a landslide unless reliability comes into play or luck with AI mistakes, safety cars help. he has a legit chance to win every race
