I was very "close" with Brer Bear back in the day and this location is very near and dear to my heart. Walt once said "As long as there's imagination left in the world, Disneyland will never be complete" and this also goes for WDW. I do understand it might have been time to bring in a new attraction, but that attraction needs to be better than the one before. I knew every inch of Splash and it was all filled with excitement around every corner. It currently looks like Na'vi River Journey. There are a fewer characters here as Disneyland Splash had about 100 and WDW had about 63 or so. There are endless dark areas and to me it shows their thinking is if you make it dark and put in one or two thing to focus on nobody will notice the empty space, but sorry I did. Where the laughing place was, ummmm yea it seems like a wasted space with just CGI Pixar videos of a hand drawn animation film. Splashes ending was bigger and brighter with the showboat, I understand this is a totally different movie but if that is all they could come up with then it is kind of sad. I have heard a CM stated so far from the first day of doing the event the ride may have been running continuously for 3 hours straight. Splash was know for breakdowns and one would possibly have thought that would have been fixed. Another quite visible item is some of the animatronics do not say anything or move until a censor is triggered. You can see them there with some very gentle swaying and that is it, unlike Splash where everything was on a continuous loop. When you compare it side by side to Splash, Splash wins hands down. I really hope it wins over the hearts of the Splash lovers and is successful, but as of right now it has not won mine. I am speechless that Bruce Vaughn let this happen even after Bob Iger stated it was boring, but anyways thanks for the two dancing Okras.

It's a shadow of what was formerly Splash Mountain. And in my opinion, Tiana deserved SOOOOO much better than a "hand me down". And whereas Frozen could be argued is somewhat of an upgrade over Maelstrom, there's no way to fairly argue that for this attraction. Plus, the salt mines that were a punishment to certain segment of persons could be taken as highly offensive....not the best idea on Disney's part to do that.

I do love this ride, but…I’m hoping Disneyland’s version at least adds more than just dead space in between bayou show scenes, as well as better audio syncing with the animatronics, and really flowing and tying every part and section of the story together seamlessly (from Tiana’s Foods-themed queue to bayou log ride).

Last time I was on Splash in Disneyland was 2012. I got SOAKED! I still wish Tiana had gotten a new ride. Here at WDW your constantly reminded this used to be Splash.

Disney Parks sucks. No soul left in the parks and this ride shows it. A ride for a movie that no one asked for and came out 15 years ago that wasnt even popular. Long live Brer Rabbit Brer Fox and Brer Bear who were making families happy 30 years after it was built!!!!

@@followthebradleysfun maybe it was because I grew up in the 90s as a kid, and Disney just felt so special. I wasn’t enthralled and captivated with the characters from splash Mountain, and that has stayed with me through being a teenager and as an adult. I would spend countless hours on the early days of the Internet, trying to search for song of the south movie, and any little tidbit or trivia I could find. This was such an iconic ride. Every teacher had pictures of this on their desk, and families in their homes. Every family knew what this ride was, even if they never rode it. Anyways, I am a new viewer of this channel and already a big fan! Keep up the good work

I don’t know why grown adults are like this way. YOURE NOT THE INTENDED AUDIENCE FOR THIS RIDE. Splash Mountain was for your generation. We have kids who love princess tiana. They want to have kids ride this ride instead of being scared for the big drop. The climb up to the drop was so fun. My kids loved this but it was okay for me but I would rate it a 7/10
@aloneinfiction41015 ай бұрын
I feel no connection to any of these characters. Storyline seems more for a 10 page kids story book not for a mainstream Disney ride.
