The ride is great. Its visually stunning, and fun. The issue is its replacing a ride that had nostalgia, was an original iconic mountain, had great sing a long songs, had phenomenal storytelling, and was a ride we want on with out parents that we used to be able to share with our kids. Splash Mountain deserved an update. Tiana deserved her own ride instead of forcing a square peg in a round hole (Louisiana Bayou on a mountain ride layout). Now her ride will forever be entrapped in controversy because Disney activists wanted to prove a point.

Disney…if nothing else… PLEASE get rid of the 0.5 Disney Jr looking flatscreen TV of Tiana and Louis at 7:30😭😭 kills the vibe every time

I don’t hate it, but it does look a bit weird. But then again, what else were they gonna do? I feel like huge animatronics of Tiana and Louis wouldn’t have been practical.

Agreed, it’s really jarring. Having an in-ride character switch between being animatronic and screen presences takes one right out of the experience.

Disney could have made the perfect ride and people would be saying the same thing. It's simply that they are mad at Disney for getting rid of Splash Mountain. This ride looks great and is going to connect with many more kids!

My score for this would be 7/10. They do need to fill in some of the gaps, but that being said the animatronics do look great! But splash is still better however because of the Br’er’s.

Yes, it's worse. Where's the story? Ride around in near darkness listening to bouncy music and seeing the occasional animatronic. That close up projection of Tiana and Louis is horrendous. Everyone raves about the Tiana animatronics. Look again. She doesn't really move much at all. Just waving her arms around. Better if they had simply plussed Splash Mountain.

Ok I’m a splas purist. It was my favorite on all the parks. The good the bad the ugly. Lighting, effects, and theming of lilli pads, lights, etc. 100% better than splash. Musically? Ummmm nope. Not even close. Thematically in a story aspect? Wtf. Tiana is opening a restaurant? What’s the drop the whole thing is a disjointed mess but what does one expect out of Iger and company. Also on the drop. I still hear and will scream out loud…brear bears deadpan…. Briar patch?!.

nothing like splash mountain, its boring and theres no plot, no sense of dread before the big drop its all just so anticlimatic, my favorite log flume is def dudley do right ripsaw falls now

This is the 2nd stupidest change wdw has ever made (the first was Tiki room under new management). Did this need an overhaul? Were people avoiding Splash Mountain? This decision is CRAZY.

I see the lighting is terrible and some areas is completely pitch black they could’ve had more lighting those areas not lit. It doesn’t look good. They have to get some off if it broke down at night no lights.

Pretty to look at in parts but so dull. The mountain was constructed as a thrill ride but the new Imagineers for some bizarre reason chose to remove any adventure or peril from the ride story. It’s weak, empty, and anodyne, which is so unlike the movie which is so spirited. The ride lets down Tiana and the fans. Shameful.
