I realize I'm probably in the minority, but I think it does fit. But you kind of have to think of "frontier" kind of in terms of colonization. To the French, Louisiana was a frontier. But my whole life (I'm 52) I've always associated "Frontierland" with expansion and exploration, but NOT necessarily just out west. The reason I think Frontierland goes so well with Liberty Square is that we "expanded" from the original colonies. Louisiana was just another expansion. Maybe because I associated Splash Mountain with the south as well? Hopefully my weird brain translated well 😂

Your weird brain translated perfectly! 😆 I know exactly what you're talking about [with LA being frontier] and that's what I was talking about when [I think] I said the definition of frontier is different depending who you ask. The only pushback I have is that if what I was reading is correct, Fronteirland was made out to be the Red Rocks version of the frontier. In that case I don't think it fits BUT that doesn't mean Fronteirlands definition of frontier cant/won't evolve over time. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. We always love hearing different perspectives! 😊

@@2foolishmortals While NOLA doesn't have the red clay for sure, the south is FULL of red clay - I think that's why I never associated Frontierland with just the west. 👍
