Excellent tutorial. I have been making a similar flower for many years but I can never remember how many stitches are in each loop to make the petals so this tutorial will go into my saved box.

Thank you kindly for such a careful tutorial. You made it straightforward to follow, and I loved the little watch points. After several false starts, I was able to make the rose! Only having a single washcloth as a finished crochet piece, this made me very happy indeed, even if it's a bit wobbly :)
