Tharpa Choeling Monastery situated in Kalimpong, was established way back in time when Tibet was an independent country. It was first established by Dromo Geshe Rinpoche in 1912 in Kalimpong. Our team on its Northeast-India tour this year made it a point to visit this historic monastery and learn about its deep connection to Tibet. We had the opportunity to interview Dromo Ladang’s Director Geshe Lobsang Yonten on the Biography and successive reincarnations of Dromo Geshe Rinpoche and the history behind Tharpa Choeling Monastery

In return, today, what the Himalaya gave back to Tibetan is Bhoti language, Sambhota script , lama basha, and Himalaya Bhudism. Some even gave Geluk vs. Drukpa narrative. Now it looks like it's time for sorig to de-tibenization.
