My God the rewriting of history in this video is beyond me. Political Tibet had absolutely nothing to do with Qinghai province or western Sichuan after the fall of the Qing dynasty. The map of tibet you used is false, as Qinghai and Tibet border was the ROC tibet border then. Jesus the lies in your video gives me migrane.

By the way, in 1956 the Khamba Tibetans were already launched a rebellion. The PLA had send their Tu-4 bomber to strike Tibetans during the rebellion. The rebellion directly led to the rupture of the relationship between the CCP and Tibetans, which in turn led to the great suppression of Tibet in 1959. To give an example to illustrate why the Tibetans in the Khampa area launched a rebellion: In 1949, the Kangding area, the capital of Khampa during the Kuomintang rule, had to collect about 35 tons of grain tax a year. By 1955, the total amount of grain tax collected by the CCP in Kangding reached 325 tons (In just six years, the grain tax has increased nearly tenfold! ). The total grain output and population of Kangding area (the county's population is only about 100,000) have not increased significantly in these years, but the grain tax increased enormously that led to a great famine. Absolutely, the rebellion caused by heavy taxation by CCP. If the Tibetans did not want to starve to death, they had no choice but to rebel. The insurgency led to a crackdown to all Tibetans not only Khampa but also Amdo and U-Tsang by the CCP. For example, Gao Feng, the Secretary of the Qinghai Provincial Party Committee of CCP, was calling for "Smothering the rebellion before Tibetans premeditated" in 1959 - we all know what that means. Judging from the results, the 1959-1962 repression was extremely cruel. One county lost 60% of its population in the most brutal area of the crackdown - including executions, forced migration, etc. To be honest, the efficiency of killing is much higher than Pol Pot's(well, Elon Musk) Khmer Rouge. Repression in some areas has resulted in a 2:8 male-to-female ratio in Tibet (Then came the influx of Chinese male immigrants and intermarriage with these Tibetan women who had lost their fathers and husbands to "promote ethnic integration" - we have to recall the brutal story of the slaughter of men and the ravages of women during Genghis Khan's conquest). According to some internal battle reports of the PLA, when the "rebels" were suppressed, a "rebel army" of more than 10,000 fighters had only more than 3,000 knives, spears and firearms combined - it is not difficult to imagine that most "Rebels" are unarmed farmers and herdsmen. The so-called "liberating serfs and overthrowing serf owners" is even more ironic. In order to suppress the Tibetan people, the Tibetan people are generally designated as "serf owners". In the most exaggerated part of Hainan Prefecture, Qinghai Province, 90% of the population is classified as "serf owners"-- It is completely unimaginable how 90% of the slave owners enslaved 10% of the serfs! Under the bloody repression, Tibet achieved "complete liberation". But we must admit that not all Chinese are bad people. A senior commander of the VFF appearing in the video is a PLA Major. He was unwilling to implement the CCP's policy of suppressing the Tibetans and chose to join in VFF. Also, these information above is from the book "When The Iron Bird Flies" by Li Jianglin, who is a daughter of a senior CCP official. Its information is derived from the CCP's internal reports, statistics, official confidential documents, etc. She hopes to let the world know CCP's persecution of Tibetans.

Well guys, I know the Ganden Phodrang regime in Tibet is a very pre-modern brutal theocracy, but after we saw the CCP's genocide in Tibet, I have to say that the land suffered so many fucking disasters that you can't argue that the CCP's genocidal rule of Tibet is "modern" and "progressive" in order to oppose the barbaric and badass rule of Ganden Phodrang. In the eyes of any Tibetan, the only difference between the theocracy of Ganden Phodrang and the rule of the CCP is that one is skinning you from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet, and the other is skinning you from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head. The barbarism of the theocratic government cannot be used as an excuse to defend the CCP, nor can the CCP's genocide atrocities be used to cheer for the "defense of our theocracy in Tibet."

@@edwardsnowden8821 I must remind you that Qinghai's establishment as a province does not mean that it is a region with the Han as the main population before the 1960s led by Mao Zedong's large -scale population immigration (and catastrophic ecological destruction). Qinghai's must Most people are Tibetans, followed by various Muslims before 1949. Althrough, the Tibetans and Hui muslims had many wars and massacres. The situation of Khampas was same with Qinghai (or Amdo in Tibetan language), the most population in Kham(or Xikang in Chinese language) are Tibetan, but it's a 'province' of China while there are considerable number of Tibetan uprising during 1956-1965. Under your logic, I think the suppression of CCP to Khampas in Xikang Province (and later Sichuan Province) is not "the suppression of the Tibetans", but "the suppression of the Tibetans in China" -ridiculous! Are there any difference? Can they be suppressed because they have Chinese nationality instead of Tibetan nationality?

@@user-nd4qz4dh1n the maker of this video is a propaganda expert. Qinghai has been a separate region from Tibet for ages. the republic of china only officially made that known in 1923 with its then government led by Governor/warlord Ma Qi. He falsely shows the Qinghainese territory as being Tibet, while lying and saying the political map of china when the PRC won against the ROC did not include Qinghai province, thereby removing the ma click from history altogether. its like showing the political map of Mexico and USA in 1957 with Texas, California and New Mexico shown as Mexican territory on the map. Wait a minute. Before the PRC took power in mainland china, the ROC aka Taiwan, already included Tibet in their territories officially. It even included ‘Outer Mongolia’ since it is the legal successor of the Qing empire which ruled over these territories. So what if PRC didn’t win the Chinese civil war in 1949, would the west still insist that ROC to release Tibet as an independent country? Very unlikely if you ask me.

problem is China says Tibet has already been part of their dynasty since old ages when you look history you clearly see tibet has been catptured 2 times by Mongols and then 1 time by Chinese dynasty.All the other times Tibet was independent and especially 6-10th century AD when Tibetan Empire was at it's prime.After that Tibet didn't bother with outsiders and remained silent and as mentioned in video refused modernisation.Slavery never existed in Tibet as they they didn't have lot of wars after fall of Tibetan Empire.Tibetans were most if not all farmers.

Just an inconvenient fact. The Chamdo area hasn't been under the control of Dalai Lamas since the 18th century. Same as Amdo, the birthplace of the current Dalai Lama. Technically, the CCP was still honouring the agreement respecting Tibetan social structure in 1959. Land reform movements were carried out in the Amdo and Kham areas, just as in the rest of China.
@hughanquetil2567
@hughanquetil2567 Жыл бұрын
NIce try. Amdo and Kham also weren't under the control of Beijing and it's doubtful whether they ever were. You do realize that the whole "those people don't have a 'real state" (often used variations of "they aren't unified") is a colonialist trope used to justify occupation and annexation, right? Beijing's territorial claims in the region are dubious even according to the corrupt Q'ing dynasty records' standards they used to make their claims. Beijing's modern take on colonialism adds the Marxist "We are all ethnicities of the same people" idea, but otherwise it's just naked colonialism, just like most of the West once practiced.

"From the 1951 Seventeen Point Agreement to 2003, life expectancy in Tibet increased from thirty-six years to sixty-seven years with infant mortality and absolute poverty declining steadily" The Tibetans traditionally depended upon agriculture for survival. Since the 1980s, however, other jobs such as taxi-driving and hotel retail work have become available in the wake of Chinese economic reform. In 2011, Tibet's nominal GDP topped 60.5 billion yuan (US$9.60 billion), nearly more than seven times as big as the 11.78 billion yuan (US$1.47 billion) in 2000. Tibet people are the same as chinese people. They go to school together, work together live together. Some became doctors , celebrities, singers,teachers, scientists, government officials. Most people in china speaks mandarin + 1 mother language. Tibetian, uyghur, hui, han ,Manchu,,mong,Mongolian do have a country call China. The key problem for Tibetan independence is that Tibet didn't become a sovereign nation in 1911. They declared independence but it wasn't recognised by anyone, certainly not by the Chinese government. As a historian you should know that it therefore wasn't technically an annexation, which describes taking another sovereign nation's territory. It was a failed war of independence. You don't become a sovereign country by declaring it. Tibet needs permission from the central government or it needs to win a second war of independence

Imperial archives from Yuan, Ming & Qing Dynasties show that Tibet was never part of China. The Mongol Yuan did conquer China & incorporated Tibet into their empire but administered Tibet separate from China. There was almost no contact between Tibet & Ming Dynasty. The Manchu Qing conquered China in 1644. In 1720 Qing troops did enter Tibet to help Tibet defeat Nepalese invaders and Qing Emperor sent an Amban to Lhasa but the Amban was not a governor. The Qing called Tibet a vassal state (along with Mongolia & Russia) but never considered Tibet to be part of China. When Qing Dynasty fell in 1911-12 the 13th Dalai Lama declared Tibet’s independence from the Qing. Tibet signed its own treaties with Nepal (1856), Britain (1904/1914), Mongolia (1913) and Republic of China (1918). Tibet was unequivocally independent until forced to sign the 1951 17-Point Agreement.
