I Finally Finished the Trekking and Back to My Home, Lhasa

Today I will show you the last day of my trek from Tsurpu to Yangpachen.
Departing from Bartso Village, I started the last day’s trek to Yangpachen. The last section of the trekking route was a bit easier than the previous day’s because it was all downhill, and the elevation had dropped to 4200m.
According to my experience, the average altitude of this trekking route is more or less between 4500m to 5600m. If you are well acclimatized to the altitude in Lhasa, then you can easily complete this trek. It is not as difficult as most people think.
Before I arrived in Yangpachen, I visited an unknown little village. The name of the village was not marked on my map, but the people I met there left a deep impression on me, like the kind woman who ran a small store and the children who built their own little ‘Potala Palace’ by the roadside.
After that, I finally got to the monastery on the mountain and enjoyed the nearby natural wild hot spring.
This is the end of my 4-day Tsurpu to Yangpachen trekking journey. Looking forward to experiencing it again with you one day in the future.

It was a breath of fresh Air to see the locals be so hospitable especially esp the older yak farmer that invited you to sleep in his home and give you a nourishing dinner …bless his good soul !! Jamyang please tell me would the locals be so hospitable to foreigners from the U.K. if we was on the same trek ? @monarch wangke : I am not originally from UK but from Spain. However my residential home has been half of my life in Scotland. When we greet someone we do from the place we are at those moments and not from our birth place. Can you imagine any reporter giving news from New York and then greeting good byes from their birth place such as Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Greece, Hong Khong, Tibet...?.

When it rains in Dharamsala . I always think about Tibet . I can see our family’s tibetan house. there are always a lot of happy laughs in it . behind the house is a snow mountain . before the house is a clear river. I left my home and came to India since many years ago . when I climbed over that snow mountain I was young ,but can I climb the same snow mountain back to Tibet at now ? can I find the same way leading me to my home ? can I still recognize my home after so many years of separation? . When it rains in Dharamsala I always heard a sound mixed in the raindrops . it seems so remote but still clear enough to listen . suddenly I understand it it’s the sound from Tibet calling me go home . ...... I stand up with a walking stick in my hand. open the door and walk into the rain. although I can’t see anything clearly through thick rain ,as long as I follow that sound I definitely can go home . I keep walking . I fell in the mud but try to stand up ,keep walking . I walk more and more slowly can't walk anymore only my soul keep moving forward with that sound . The rain stops . That sound disappears. A rainbow appears in the sky . One side of the rainbow is dharamsala The other side of the rainbow is Tibet I stand muddy under the rainbow with the walking stick, don’t know where to go .
