@grethesrvig92493 жыл бұрын
Elecricity in a place with lots of streaming water and sunshine... It's not that Tibetans don't know how to create electricity. The fresh vegetables are offerings from pilgrims, many probably, as the video-maker did, arriving there by car. It gives the giver good karma to offer food to a monastery, so the nuns probably get more than enough fresh vegetables and other foods from lay-buddhists. (Yes, some vegetables actually grow in Tibet, even some fruits. Especially in that aerea, in southern Tibet). Regarding the presence of the dog and the cat: that breed was very popular in China a few years ago. When they found out that this breed, Tibetan Mastiff, one of the world's biggest dogs, which are used as watchdogs by Tibetans, did not fit into a Chinese 2-bedroom apartment, and that they were difficult to control, the breeding stopped and no one bothered to look after the thousands of dogs they had bred , and they were left to fend for themselves. No wonder that one of these dogs have found the way out there, maybe following the smell of food. The cat may have gotten into a car it has warmed up in and thus stayed. It's seldom there are no dogs and cats in a Tibetan monastery though.
