A favourite tic of mine that I have is "Back in my day the carrots grew upside down" "Would you like a knuckle sandwich, it's free?" and "Your shoelace is untied."

The only way anyone could hate on another for creating content discussing the world of Tourette’s……………. Is because they are filled with Hate and Very little understanding or empathy. Kudos to the both of you for being unafraid of being judged. (For the most part) and you never should be!!!! Keep up the fight you two and keep going on!!!!

I saw a show with people who have Tourettes and it showed them doing fun hobbies like gardening, ice skating etc.. and when they did those things they rarely had an outburst. It just goes to show you how doing things that you enjoy and hobbies are very beneficial to your mind. To me gardening it very good and good for your body, also love playing tennis and just being active in general. I hate sitting around I get really depressed

For the non-believers….when someone has Tourette’s, a tic is described like having an itch that they have to scratch. That’s how my friend (who was diagnosed) explained it to me.

I think experts are trying to figure it out but I think they are looking down the wrong hole. I think maybe people with Tourettes say things all of us think of and want to say it but for some reason they can not control the urge to say those things. When I am alone I do things just like Tourettes cuz I do not care cuz nobody can see but when I am around people 99 percent of the time I control it but some times it comes out with someone else near but that is very rare and it usually is not severe cuss type words

@anneteecash4914 I’m hearing these 2 guys cursing up a storm as though it’s a cool thing to do but Baylen is a different ball of wax! These 2 idiots don’t need to be adding to her coprolalia! They need their mouths to be washed out with extremely powerful soapy water to make them vomit 🤮 they’re literally just GROSS!!!!!

What type of Touretes is this, I do all that when I am by myself and blurt out crazy cuss words when I get angry which is often and make funny noises sometimes and scare my cat (or she used to be scared but now used to it) but I can control it completely when I am around people. It is as if when I am by myself I act like a lunatic cuz nobody is around to see it and I do not care. A lot of people have called me crazy or wierd but they do not see the real me when I am alone..lol But saying all that, people still like me and I am likeable, and people think very highly of me at work and outside of work even though they know I am a littel different from the norm, but you know what, I love being different.

Swearing is a symptom of Tourette syndrome (TS) called coprolalia, but it doesn't affect everyone with TS. Coprolalia is a complex vocal tic that involves involuntary, obscene, and socially inappropriate words. It affects about 10% of those with tourette's
