Before my husband died, it was a long ongoing joke between us when we looked and looked for an electric blanket and finally asked a Walmart worker where they were. She said they didn't have any. I refused to believe that and continued to look.... and found them! My husband said should we go back to her and ask her if they had any (while holding the electric blanket)

My story is much more disturbing than this. My friend and I went to a Walmart and selected a bag of grilling wood chips off the shelf in the garden department. We wanted to make some smoked ribs on the grill for a family and friends gathering. Went to the check out. The UPC didn't show up. They told us that they didn't carry that item. ????? We offered to pay them the price on the shelf advertised below the item. I think it was $6.99. Nope. Couldn't do it. They insisted that they didn't carry the item, the very item that we had selected off of their shelf! I offered the price again and they would not accept it. Top that one!

I'm an employee at Walmart right now I work Janitorial and from what I've observed management does not give a fuck. Hard-working employees they just get assigned more tasks I know cuz I'm one of those employees they don't get any bonuses they don't get extra hours. Meanwhile slackers can slack off all they want and nobody says anything to them. They just do the bare minimum required and people who go above and beyond don't get rewarded so there's no point in having a good work ethic cuz it doesn't get you anywhere except more tired at the end of the day.

This country used to be the manufacturing capital of the world. When we lost that, it was said jobs will be replaced by "service oriented" jobs. So what happened? Companies "hired" electronic devices to piss us off before being transferred to somebody in India or Taiwan or the Philippines whom we can't understand and who is being paid pennies to piss us off to the highest point of pisstivity. So let see now. We no longer manufacture anything (oh, I forgot. There is a company in North Carolina that manufactures those little tube shaped things that are attached to the end of shoe laces). Our customer services sucks and if we actually do get what we ordered, it's made in China or Indonesia or some country that we can''t even begin to pronounce and if we're lucky the thing we ordered works for about six months before it breaks of falls apart. So what's our options? You got it............... call "customer service"!!!

We had this happen with our big Christmas present for my 5 yr. old granddaughter. We called because it never came. Two weeks before Christmas, we’re like WTF is it? They told us it was cancelled, too, for NO REASON. We freaked out, demanded a supervisor, who then placed another order for us with 20% off. As someone who works at Walmart, I have to say that this is a very bad situation for both sides. Your problem sounds like it was on the distribution center's end. The customer service people are always very busy and the system for keeping track of items in distribution centers and other stores is shitty or nonexistent. The customer service manager sounded like she couldn't do much from the very beginning. The DC probably lost your order.

Few months ago, I ordered a kayak online, waited a month and picked it up at the curbside service and everything went well. 3 months later, I get an email saying I never picked it up and therefore, the refund is in process and a week later, received my full “refund”. I bought an airgun from Walmart. Thing came in with one side missing with tape covering it up. The tape barely did shit and you could see where the gun poked a hole through the thin tape. I went to get a refund and they absolutely refused and told me to contact customer support. I did, got some random Indian guy and he basically told me the same thing. Went back to Walmart and put the beat-up gun on a shelf and took a nicer one off the shelf. Walked out of the store without getting called out simply by holding a shopping bag in the other hand and stating I bought all the stuff in automotive. Now they got some random ass airgun that they don't even sell in stores on a shelf and I got a new airgun worth nearly double what I paid for the other one.

lol OK, I've worked at Walmart. While you're on hold, the girl has 5 pissed off Vics staring at her in the customer service line, with their 2.5 kids running around knocking stuf over. She also has 2 colleagues asking her where stuf is, and a CSM (Customer Service Manager) giving her something to do when she gets a minute. If your initial request isn't answered immediately (you made the mistake of giving her a little info -- you have an order number? shit. -- so she couldn't just wish you a nice day, though she tried), you might as well hang up, call back, and lead with the "Here's my order number. Where is it?" On the next hold, hang up, call back, and lead with whatever you last said that put you on hold. And if you immediately get put on hold, might as well just call back, 'cause she'll never remember you're there.

I ordered a $1,500+ laptop from Walmart a few years ago. They naturally, took my money immediately, but I didn't receive the laptop during the time specified in the order. I called them and they said that they didn't see an order for a laptop from me! Boy, did I have to jump some hoops and do a lot of complaining before I received my laptop. Whatever in the heck possessed me to order again from them a few years later, I don't know, but when they went to finally process that order, I received an e-mail saying that once my payment was processed, they would send it out. I already paid! I had to call and tell them I have the document from the bank that shows I paid them. I finally got that order. My lesson learned? NEVER ORDER FROM WALMART.COM!

Just a month or two ago I had two separate, unrelated orders cancelled (24 hours apart) on Ebay. Neither seller said a word to me till I asked. I didn't even know till a few days after the orders were placed I just happened to check my "My Ebay" page. I was thinking "My item ought to be here by maybe tomorrow". Then I go in my "My Ebay" page, and the order isn't even there. So I researched it through PayPal and find that it was cancelled. Then the next day it happened again! From two separate sellers! Unbelievable! So the one guy said the item was in worse condition than he had thought, so he cancelled the order. The other guy said he couldn't find the item, so he cancelled the order. Maybe the customer should be told??? lol
