But I do expect them to do a text scan of a new account against a list of authenticated members, especially where the email address or phone number is potentially from a blacklisted domain. The truth, and no one wants to admit it, is that it is almost impossible to prevent these scammers from plying their trade, especially if they're overseas and operate under a different set of local laws. They violate TOS, so what, they just create a new fake account. To stop it requires something no one wants - which is global ID that uniquely identifies you. It is doable but not very palatable.

There are 30 million fake profiles on Facebook alone. It's a damn shame. Even on Marketplace, some people are putting up fake ads for renting a home or room. I want to know why the authorities don't bother going on some mission to shut every single scammer down for good. I'm tired of the calls and texts from people who think I'm that gullible. One guy recently left a voicemail like I actually picked up (I don't have an actual voicemail greeting recorded). I literally heard other calls being made in the background from what I'm guessing is some log cabin somewhere, followed by the caller going "....helloooooooo?"

Everywhere I see a scammer I report that SOB. It's like fuckin' Hydra. You chop one head, two more others appear. The thing is that greed is the thing that motivates both the scammer and the victim most of the time. Sometimes it's even hard to feel sorry for the victim. People need to be aware. They create profiles on messenger acting as friends on your Facebook using THE FRIENDS Facebook photo as theirs. They send you a friends request. Its pretty simple . Go see if your still friends with that person. If you are guess what . The person trying to reach out to u is fake !!! They do the se with you tubers and famous people. Stop being so dumb ppl. I work with older patients. Over six years, I have had five of them scammed for no less than $1000! These individuals are on a limited income and are Devastated financially afterwards.
