World's Tallest Tower: Burj Khalifa - Dubai's Vertical City: • World's Tallest Tower:...
The sky is the limit: nothing is as closely connected to the advancement of humankind as the way we travel - our mobility! Industry and globalization have been preoccupied with technologies that allow us to travel faster and farther into the world. Consequently, mobility has garnered great economic importance. However, due to technological advancements, mobility has become more inefficient, more harmful to the environment and more precarious. It’s time for a revolution in the field of mobility.

Modern logistics. It would be hard to imagine our daily digital lives without them. As consumers, we can shop online every day and any hour of the day. We expect everything to arrive on time - whether clothing, printer spare parts, or a set of screws. Online shopping is booming: in 2018, courier, express, and parcel services, the so-called CEP sector, delivered around 3.5 billion shipments in Germany alone. And this is an upward trend. But how does all this work so smoothly, safely, and on time? After all, we live in turbulent times: digitalization, climate crisis, growing world population, and political and economic instability. How does the logistics industry rise to such challenges? For answers to these questions, we need to dive deep into the world of modern logistics. Our film takes us into huge, fully connected warehouses, watching as fleets of cargo planes are prepared for take-off at night and accompanying couriers on delivery bikes on "the last mile" to the customer. We look at one of the world's largest logistics providers at work: Deutsche Post DHL Group. We are more looking into solutions of robotization, working together with human workers within the warehouse on one hand. But also artificial intelligence and big data crunching are getting more and more important. If you want more engineering excellence: World's Tallest Tower: Burj Khalifa - Dubai's Vertical City: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hHusaaCFq5mJjZY Available Worldwide except GST #freedocumentary

@@FreeDocumentary This is the TOPIC that needs more ACTION in this generation. It'll save billions on times wasted traveling in those slow, noisy, boring and antiquated railway as systems. It would've been better if the trams were left alone and become the HYPERLOOP. We we wouldn't be in this mess with Climate Change. Now we its all t he developers if Hyperloops could just get an agreement on the STANDARDS of the TUBES so they won't have to have so many different lines across each continent. Must carry l a rge enough cargo too. Like Electric Cars or the batteries for them. Also must keep the Solar Panels to assist in keeping costs down and free from relying on fossil fuels and less reliant on the already much in demand Electric Power Grids.

@Vatsyayana87
@Vatsyayana87 3 жыл бұрын
It could work perfectly fine, The reason it hasnt come to fruition yet is because we have hundreds of billions of dollars worth of infrastructure in place, tightly woven into the fabric of any large city, This means issues finding room to install them without causing massive interruptions to the normal flow and therefor profits while having a large cost to replace something that already works good enough (in some areas but not at all in many) and more over that we are all born into and used to. If someone like Elon took the task on fully it would absolutely be making large strides, showing how superior and cost saving it might be. But people dont like change and Elon is very busy with much larger goals.

@@k7gixxer1000 Every single thing i said about hyper loop is equally true of the boring company, including the fact that almost every waking minute of his is focused on two major projects, which are both doing incredibly well. Both relatively new, created by someone with zero experience, yet both doing better then any like company on the planet.. I dont see what you are confused about what i meant when i said if someone like him was putting their efforts into it, that it would probably do very well. Boring is a 1% side project, hyper loop he couldnt even give 1% to, but is such a good idea that he tried to encourage others to do it. Others are still trying to get it going around the world, but others arent Elon.

@@asandax6 Hmm well thats an opinion and i cant tell you that your wrong. I think the only thing holding it back is because Elon isnt doing it, He only suggested it would be a great thing and supports it. If he were behind it as much as his main companies, i think you would simply be wrong. The idea isnt flawed, the tech is here to make it happen quite easily, it just doesnt have the leadership to make such a huge change as fast as we want, but im pretty sure there are places around the world that are going to be trying this.

I once had the Holden Astra Sportwagon here in Australia. It was a death knell. The autonomous system comprising of collision alert, rain sensing wipers, rear camera would kick in unnecessarily, almost deliberately to confuse me. It was my presence of mind, situational awareness and skill that saved me and public from falling victim to a catastrophe. Whether it was a technological fault or a design backed with malicious intent is yet to be established. But, I was notified through various sources that Victoria Police had specially built the vehicle together with Holden and Nissan to take my life.

What about the disadvantages of Hyperloop? First of all, safety of the passengers is a problem. If anything happens you are stuck inside a steel tube with no air to breathe. Second problem: cost of infrastructure. The tubes are way more expensive that rails, not only initially but also to maintain and operate. Third problem: Scalability. Once a hyperloop carriage is going through a tube, it is blocking the tube for other traffic. Fourth problem: rigidity. You cannot just go where you want, you are bound to where tubes are laid. Similar to train rails. Conclusion: there may be a niche market for this idea, but this is not going to fix the traffic jams in the city.

If one is using auto cruise in your car and your car is at fault in an accident then who is at fault???

Autocruise currently requires the driver to grip the wheel so they can take over in an emergency. It totally defeats the purpose of autocruise, but that's where we are at with the law. The driver would be at fault currently.

You're at fault for trusting your life and everyone elses in the digital hands of an algorithm. In my opinion, the roadways are still way to chaotic for self driving cars to ever work. I think we would require 100% self driving cars on the roads in order for the system to function flawlessly. Humans drive in ways a program cant understand and has a hard time defending against. We will make erratic maneuvers and risk our lives for a few seconds off our commute or geez just for the thrill of it.
