Short summary for myself Berlin (lots of DIY and cycling) Vancouver (lowest per head greenhous gas emissions -> tax on carbon, many parks, biker friendly design, good public transport) Ljubljana (streets washed with rain, new waste system -> 80% less waste to landfill compared to 2008, cycling) Amsterdam (focus on renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy construction, climate neutral buildings, affordable housing) Bristol (more cycling, recycling) Oslo (EV adoption, 242 square kilometres forest, funds for sustainability through electricity tax) Stockholm (less fossil fuel use through policies, bio fuelis becoming popular, EVs, cycling) Helsinki (eco friendly accommodation, many vegan restaurants/cafes,) Zurich ( over 80% of electricity is from renewable sources, 40% of city’s waste is recycled, concrete is used less as a building material, high water standards, clean air -> micro particle emissions were reduced by 25% in the last 20 years, bikes all over the city-> free of charge) Copenhagen (29% of households own a car, cycling more common, guests are provided with bicycles, 88% of food in public organisations is organic)

This is a bright career and you can find different companies related to renewable energy, EV, sustainable development, green buildings etc. in these sustainable cities. You can also work for NGOs like WRI Ross centre . World bank sustainable development programs etc. Intern in an area that you like or find a job doing something quite basic in the sector. Try to find an internship in best sustainable companies in these cities.
