The gills are located further up They aren't pressing on its gills and you can't make a sea animal with no oxygen worse because not being In water is like being in space for them not oxygenated water to make air means pressing on the gills is like closing your mouth vs opening it in space there's no difference It's even worse for animals with gills because they don't have lungs meaning they can't hold their breath Try blowing all your air out and not breathing instead of holding your breath That's what it feels like for a fish accept its way different.

First off, you don’t pull them out of the water and instead let one swim up to you, then carefully put your hand in the sea underneath it and tickle its underside. Be sure to avoid its mouth and nostrils so it doesn’t bite you. If you do it right, it will playfully swish it’s tail to show how much it loves it.

The stingray may look "cute", but the sad truth is that it was dying. People need to stop looking for human features in animals and not hurt them by humanizing them" and accept that animals behave differently from humans. Yes, animals do have feelings. Some have lifetime partners while others have several partners. Stingrays are sea animals and like most sea animals, if you take them out of the water they die slowly and painfully. Some stingrays are poisonous so I discourage people from touching them. Steve Irwin was an unfortunate victim who died from being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming a documentary in Australia. Stingrays are progressively becoming threatened or vulnerable to extinction and 45 species have been listed as vulnerable or endangered by the IUCN. People should educate themselves to stop animal cruelty done on purpose or plain ignorance like in this video.
