These 5 videos are by far and away the most comprehensive review of TickTick and what it can do that I have ever seen on KZbin. Thank you. Plenty of homework for me to get stuck into.

Thanks for this, Lucas. A wonderful overview of TickTick. I had a suggestion. What makes the most sense when I watch your instruction is when you have actual examples, rather than demonstrate an entry like "Add this to TickTick". For me it's easier to imagine when you run through something like, Buying Noise Cancelling Headphones, then taking me through the process. At that point, I'm actually thinking through projects of my own, or emails. (An example might be an emailed bill that comes from my plumber. It needs to be filed, and possibly made into a yearly task ("clean tankless water heater"). Just a suggestion. But thanks again for putting this together. It's saved me hours of trying to translate GTD to a digital system.

Wondering why i don't have the Icon on the left side for the Habit Tracker. It does not appear in the Features List in Settings, however I have two habits set up on the Android App.

Great course. Congrats and thanks for share your knowledge. My question is if can i link a task whit a note? For example, a travel template like of the video and a task about this travel. This way when i finish de check of the note template, i can mark the linked task as done. Before at all forgive my English if is a little rusty.

Thanks for the tutorials Lucas. very helpful. How do you deal with context for areas of focus that might want to add to task. For example you have work, home and community as areas of focus. Do you have create tags for these or is there a way to cross reference to the area of focus list
@LucasPrigge2 жыл бұрын
Happy to hear it helps! I would organize projects with tasks inside of folders that indicate their related area of focus and use tags for assigning context to the task.

I was thinking to use Upnote but maybe I don't need to? looks like I can use ticktick for notes too?
@LucasPrigge6 ай бұрын
Depends on the complexity of your Notes. I haven't reviewed Upnote at this time so can't compare the two.

have you looked into Obsidian for building a second brain? im told its pretty amazing, but would prefer to stick to one program like Ticktick as much as possible

thanks a lot, I used to use Notion but it became way too complex. I needed something to manage my tasks with notes - TickTick is the best fit.

So what if I have reference material for working out, but that's also under my projects?
@LucasPrigge6 ай бұрын
If it's part of a project, it's active support material so you can move it out of (passive) reference until it's no longer actively needed. Or duplicate it and keep the original in Reference as a template!
@Daniel_TransformationCoach2 жыл бұрын
Hey @lucas pirgge, thanks a lot for your videos. I have a question, I used to use Nirvana, untill my reference lists vanished and their customer support couldnt help me. Do you know if Ticktick has any guarantees that our precious Refrences dont vanish into thin air? or any other ways to feel secure about your refrence library?
@LucasPrigge2 жыл бұрын
I think that guarantee is sort of implied with any to do app. TickTick does have daily backups which may provide some guarantee. If you suddenly lose your lists then that app is seriously malfunctioning. Sorry to hear that happened to you.

Thanks, great tutorial. I have a question related to areas / obligations that are not really projects, have multiple steps / tasks, but not necessarily final deadline, for example paying bills, or paying my car insurance. Do I put it in Standalone items or in Projects folder, and than create tag for that sort of context, or do I create seperate folder for recurring "projects" or tasks? For example, I have multiple bills to pay every montg, and I need to have a checklist generated every month, do I put it in Projects, Agendas, or create another specific folder? Thanks.
@LucasPrigge3 жыл бұрын
Paying a bill is a task that becomes a next action when you receive the bill, with the due date being the 'pay by' date as specified on the bill. If it's a recurring bill that you receive on the same date every month (eg. rent), you could set up a recurring task in a Routines list to remind you when you need to take this action.
