TicWatch Pro 5 vs TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra - A Worthy Upgrade?

Mobvoi promised to update Ticwatch pro 3 and Ticwatch pro 3 ultra to Wear Os 3 but it didn't happen and I am still waiting for that update which it seems it will never come! with this situation I won't buy any other smartwatch from this company again!

It's slow coming but it is still coming and is in beta testing. They are blaming their own bespoke hardware using their own co-processor for the slow development. Hopefully updates will be easier with the Ticwatch Pro 5 as it's standard hardware this time.

I have the ticwatch pro 5. Great watch that runs like a beast. I wish there added wireless charging. Overall a big improvement over the ticwatch pro 3 and ultra. I own both as well. Thanks for a great video . Greetings from Germany, Jonathan😊.

Would you say it's worth the upgrade over my Ultra? Is the battery noticeably better to you? The only thing that really drive's me nuts about the Ultra is Wear OS 2.4 in 2023

@@kristianolsenlarsen The ticwatch pro 5 is so much better. Worth upgrading. They added new features to it. It's so much faster when it comes to downloading, installing and updating apps. Overall a big improvement. Get the pro 5 and you will be happy with it.

@@T3CHKOMMIE same question. I just had to put in a warranty claim on my pro 3 Ultra GPS for the slightest dip in water. It was vibrating constantly and eventually battery died. I brought it back to life with some rice, but the battery life and screen sensitivity are shot. I may request a pro 5 upgrade if they offer it! I would much prefer the battery life and 5ATM water rating. If the chargers I have from my E3 and Pro3 all work with the pro 5, I'd be ecstatic!

I have no idea if this is only happening to me but I've had the Ticwatch E then the Ticwatch Pro 3 GPS and both of them the charging contacts underneath wore out and eventually would not be able to charge anymore. Of course this happens right after the extended warranty. Does this happen to anyone else? They don't offer repairs.. just a discount on a new watch. I'm afraid of getting the Ticwatch 5 for this same reason!

Good comparison but the Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra doesn't come with a skin temperature sensor as you mentioned.

I had to sit in my back as the battery just kept going down by two days it was dead. And by Ticwatch pro three GPS would last 3 1/2 days easily. I didn’t do anything differently on the Ticwatch pro five it just wouldn’t correct itself. And using it while swimming was very frustrating. If they correct the issue with the battery and they issues I had with swimming and then the system not coming out of exercise mode right after finishing the swim, I might go back to it.

1 have the ticwatch pro 3 ultra since 17 months i love it.....but no update, and its difficult to talk with Mobvoi.....i'm not sure if i will buy another Mobvoi watch....sorry for my english ...

Had 2 faulty ticwatches when I Just bought them. They gave me 2 new ones and sent a delivery free of charge to my front door. No questions asked.

Think they should really have used wireless charging with how many models they have by now it's like phones who won't move to usb c and still come with micro usb ports.

Think of it this way. If no one buys it, it's still going to be e-waste. So if you can get it at a bargain price now and curious about Ticwatch then go for it.
