Thanh is a G! He’s an expert and more knowledgeable than probably 99% of reefers, but he’s humble and don’t come off as a “know it all” and cocky. That’s why i like this dude and tidal gardens! Keep up the good work Thanh!

one of his great qualities. Doesnt have the bad attitude of a know it all but just hearing him speak you would be sure that Than does know it all. Love in his videos though he is sure to specify when he isnt entirely sure about something our that he might be inferring something instead of stating it as fact.

Excellent video what s nice guy and gorgeous Reef. I am a Chocolate Tang Fanatic and his is a beauty starting to show the yellow ribbon that will turn to lyretail and more. When used a Refugium it was when Eco Sytem first came out and I have to agree my tank was never more beautiful with the miracle mud and calerpa. Thanks ✌🐟💜

Awesome tank and an awesome conversation. The quarantine of fish is pretty rare here in Europe, I don't know any reefers who do. The fish in the fish stores are in tanks with corals most of the time. I dip my corals before putting them in, but that's it.

So glad you showcased Andrew's tank. I like seeing guys I already subscribe to get some shine. Great growth in this tank. If I had the house for it this is the exact size tank I would do. It would be peninsula style though. I think this is about the biggest you can go and take car of yourself and not have to physically get in the tank. Great video.

Beautiful system. Really nice job. If I could offer you some advice if you can afford it right now. I would get rid of all those Icecap Gyres. I had some weird things going on in my tank and couldn't figure it out. I noticed one day that I forgot to turn my Icecap Gyre on after feeding. I turned it on and my mated Darwin Clownfish pair started convulsing violently. Turn it off, they were fine. Tried again, same thing. Took the gyre out, put it in a 5 gallon bucket and tested with a multimeter for leaking voltage. It was off the chart like you had a bare hot wire in the water. I contacted Coralvue and they sent me a new motor, basically a new pump. It did the exact same thing. You might not notice it in that large of a tank, but if you like Gyres, go with Red Sea or another top brand. Icecap stuff is garbage. I have an ATI Straton too and they are great lights. The success on this tank is from T5, not LED. Metal Halide is the best, T5 a close second and there will never be an LED to match them. They are no more expensive to run than LED and if you have a climate controlled home, you won't notice any extra heat. @15:55 watch the purple Tang swim by and look at his fins. That's not from fighting, that's voltage leaking. @18:45 the Gem Tang has no dorsal fin, same thing. Trash those Icecaps.

I do a 25% water change every week so I don't have to even test my water. 75 gallon mixed reef. I have a skimmer, a refugium that i grow hair algae in amd keeps copepods alive dor my pipefish to eat, a bio pellet and a reactor a carbon reactor. Heavy in heavy out. I feed flake once and frozen a second time and blast my coral with reef roids daily. Ai primes. I could use more flow i think. Pumps are old

2 questions: -Does a No water change system not better and then dose everything? Doing water change on a 1000g is not cheap lol. -What does he keep in this 200g Refugium to control this huge bio load ?! He did not mention.

Wow honestly apart from how healthy and amazing the corals look, my favorite part is probably his super efficient and easy water change system.. how much would something like his system with everything in it cost?
@tidalgardens Жыл бұрын
It all depends on how creative you get with plumbing and the quality of plumbing parts and pump. Distance matters a lot too given the cost of pipe.

@@tidalgardens ehhh when my tank was extremly mature and biodiverse things grew very well but now that i added on new glass and rock from other tanks being connected itll be a while... order in a bucket of mud and flotsam / jetsom ( jk just debris really ) and leave the bucket in ur sump with a little white lightv for a bit

I strongly disagree with his opinion on qt. A fish can look healthy at the store when it’s in copper then explode with parasites once you bring it home. If you don’t wanna medicate that’s one thing. I feel like you should at least have a separate system so you can observe the new fish for a few weeks before adding to the display. Why risk the lives and money of all those fish just banking on luck?
@thomaskong5 Жыл бұрын
Not to be a hater, but stating the total volume vs the display volume of 600 gallon is slightly misleading 😂😂😂
@philcavallini9657 Жыл бұрын
Yeah than is a whole different person that's for sure, most of the KZbin aquarium guys both fresh and salt are completely useless and have no experience part their noses! This is coming from a guy that's been keeping fish since I was in 3 rd grade and now I'm 44 if that's tell u something 😆 Good job bud!
