People like to focus on the guy making the shot, and I get it, its easy to see, but what changed wasn't GS shooting, it was Celts lack of scoring. The reported statement doesn't surprise, GS had seen and figured out all of the options the Celts had on offense and defense by end of game 3. Many of the GS players have said similar stuff about this series. By end of game 3, they knew they had enough in the bag as a team to get 110 in any game and figured out their defensive switching scheme with their main on ball defender coming back game 2. AND their were pretty well rested going into the series. Finals are often about the adjustments and counters that are made between games. By game 3, everything practiced has been used in a competitive series. Celts ran out of counters and didn't break 100 pts after game 3. I have watched many finals since the Showtime days and usually around game 3 or 4 it becomes pretty clear who should be the winner. Every blue moon you get a real mismatch and you know by game 2. 2004 Pistons-Lakers was one of those series. Of course, the unpredictable nature of injury can sometimes change it all later in a series.

The Celtics that took the play in Miami Heat to game 7 and still let Jimmy Buckets and the Heat win. Y’all that y’all was Lebron and the Cavs to come back from 3-1 to win the Championship. Naw wasn’t going to happen. I love the confidence. They just didn’t have the pedigree to beat a West team in seven without a Lebron or Kobe type player and mentality. The Bucks one because they face a no championships pedigree player or team in the Phoenix Suns who got exposed by Luka and the Dallas Mavs the very next post season where Booker and CP3 went missing in the series. The Celtics have the best team since Pierce, Garnett, and Allen to win a championship

LBJ won't have a ring if he didn't play w/ Wade, Kyrie, AD, Klove , Cbosh, Ray-Ray.

I heard someone call steph Bundy, like Ted Bundy. He's the pretty boy, he's the nice guy. But you cross him, that smile gets scary. And in terms of the Rob not being healthy, well, now he's basically never healthy, so like, I don't put an asterisk on that when a guy's shaky health is already a known quantity. Like, in 2019, Klay blowing out his ACL is not expected and comes out of nowhere. But like, say, if Anthony Davis turned an ankle in the 2020 finals, would anyone have really been surprised? Or would we say, "well, that's just what he does."
