Whooah! Deceptively simple, but a great way to grasp the concept of weight transfer and hone the skill of economy of movement. It helps when he says "let me hear you say..." so I can repeat the rhythms and step names aloud. THIS IS SO MUCH FUN!!! Two nights, two lessons--No complaints from the neighbors...Yet. ;-)

I had some time and decided to document the step sequence for this Shuffle Weight Transfer exercise by Anthony Morigerato of Operation Tap. 4/4 Swing Rhythm; Steps are triplets (1&a 2&a 3&a 4&a) Notes: - First Heel is a pick-up (i.e., 3rd note of triplet) - Brush starts a triplet pattern on 1 (i.e., Shuffle-Heel) - [ ] indicates rests L: Heel R: Brush Spank L: Heel R: Step [&] R: Heel L: Brush Spank R: Heel L: Step [&] L: Heel R: Brush Step L: Heel R: Brush Step L: Heel R: Brush Step L: Heel R: Step [&] R: Heel L: Brush Spank R: Heel L: Step [&] L: Heel R: Brush Spank L: Heel R: Step [&] R: Heel L: Brush Step R: Heel L: Brush Step R: Heel L: Brush Step R: Heel L: Step [&] L: Heel R: Brush Step L: Heel R: Brush Step L: Heel R: Brush Step L: Heel R: Step [&] R: Heel L: Brush Step R: Heel L: Brush Step R: Heel L: Brush Step R: Heel L: Step [&] L: Heel R: Brush Step L: Heel R: Step [&] R: Heel L: Brush Step R: Heel L: Step [&] R: Brush Spank Brush Spank [&] (a.k.a. Double-Shuffle) L: Hop R: Step [&a] L: Heel [&] ...the entire pattern repeats on other wing with pickup R: Heel L: Brush Spank R: Heel L: Step [&] L: Heel R: Brush Step L: Heel R: Step [&] etc. --- Note: On the last two steps in the combo, Anthony does... R: Step [&a] Heel [&] He noted that it may feel awkward to start the next sequence with a R: Heel and I agree, so I prefer... R: Step [&a] L: Heel [&]

Excellent step sequence! It's easy to learn; but, indeed, I am struggling with the weight transfers as speed increases. I am looking forward to the next 4 shuffle exercise installments. :)
