You’re doing a great job. I homeschooled my children when the movement was first starting. My kids are now 35 and 32. They both, as adults, still say they were really glad we homeschooled. I was one of the founders of our homeschool support group; we had about 50 families in it and we did so many field trips and activities together - it was like one big extended family...a lot of happy memories. At the time, I got So much flack from my parents and adult siblings (brother a teacher/principal) because no one did it, but as the years went by and my parents came to some of the field trips, they started understanding it better and were supportive. They even started bragging about it! 😄

Thank you Lisa! I'm glad to hear it has been a happy experience for you too! In fact, now that I think about it, I've never heard a mom say they hated it! Hmmm.

watching/listening while i print off my next unit of Gather Round for the Christmas season...we have 6 kiddos 5 that we are homeschooling. Ages 6-14 (Gr.1-9) and a 17yo (gr.12). Best decision we have made...we have days that i feel maybe i am not doing them justice...but my kids are thriving! Bless you as you lead your children to something greater than just 'book smarts'.

Thank you Krista! You peeked my curiosity on the Gather Round, as I had never heard of that! So excited about the Christmas season product and totally bought it! It will be so wonderful to focus on that with my kids. You sound like a very busy mama and I hope you feel Gods strength and blessings every day, as I do.

I am a homeschooling Grandma. I was really scared and was convinced that I was unqualified. But like you, I leaned on God. And guess what.....it’s great!

What a lucky grandchild you have! Yes, I felt all those feelings and still do some days. But to see my kids thrive in spite of it is such a blessing.

I made my way to you through your KZbin video about your single bowl farmhouse sink :) But since then, I have enjoyed all of your different videos! I appreciate your down-to-earth personality, your European taste in home(which is my liking as well), and so much more. Thank you!

so, they can actually have breakfast before they study, very good, and they can do it by themselves, whixh is even better unless they are too young,

This was interesting. I have grandkids but their moms are teachers in public schools. My sons did go to Christian school in elementary and middle but then public school because of sports. You have a beautiful family.

Thank you so much! I know I made the right decision. Throwing a kid in a mask all day feels so wrong to me, and just breaks my heart!

@@TIDBITSandCompany I had been playing with the idea of homeschooling for a while, but with the current situation, thinking about my children in masks all day was the absolute deal breaker for me, and I finally took the leap. Also work from home so this video resonated with me so much. Thank you so much for sharing your experience.

@@baladi0822 I am right there with you! It was floating in my mind for quite some time, but the masks pushed me over the edge. I hope you are finding ways to balance it all! If you have any extra tips, I'd love to hear them! Wish you the very best!
