You are living my dream! What an amazing adventure! I have an impatience when it comes to walking slowly too. My husband walks as fast as a turtle and if we are holding hands, I end up dragging him along. If not, I am constantly walking ahead of him, no matter how slow I try to go. Drives me crazy.

Gorgeous! I love Cannon Beach! There is another Haystack Rock further south on Highway 101 at Pacific City. I don't know if you still can (it may vary by season) but you used to actually be able to drive down on the beach.

Did you manage to see the waterfall at hug point? It's north from the parking lot beach around the rock out cropping. You can get around at low tide.
