Doesn't really matter in my experience even on the same Beach or Venue. What's more important is the state of the tide, not the size. Just been out and had a 4 and 6 lb Bass this evening. Caught my PB 10 lb on a neap tide.

Depends what your targeting prefer more movement in the tide for rays codling hounds etc bass I find are just always patrolling in close but don’t target them anymore. Controversial but find it over hyped had my doubles and big sessions on them rather fish for other species these days.

@@phil2068 I would say ALL fish prefer more movement, that's why the feeding increases mid flood and mid ebb. I'm more of a fisherman that actually fishes for food either for my family or pets so Bass is definitely target species. Think it's a bit pointless targeting species you can't eat.
