Two tides and ebbs are experienced twice at every place on the earth's water surface in 24 hours.
High tides: When the sun, earth, and the moon are in the same line, their gravitational forces work together and high tides are formed.
Low tides: When the sun and the moon are at the position of a right angle with reference to the earth, the gravitational forces of the sun and the moon work against each other and low tides are formed.

It's Tides and there's not a single mention of centrifugal force !! Why ?

Centrifugal force is a pseudo force. It acts only when the observer is in the rotating frame & here we are not in the earth . That's why centrifugal force is not mentioned in this video

I still Dont get this, they all say the bulge is already there, if bulge of water is always there how come entire earth is rotating under that bulge without being drowned? Does this also means that all fishes and turtles stays on the same bulge and earth just is sweeping under them. My head is spinning 😅

@@user-qr3jq2dk5s Thanks for the reply. Your question was actually quite thought provoking, and drives at the heart of true tidal understanding. If you’d kindly re-post your words on my friend’s explanation here, “what atomic school gets wrong about tides!” … Then, we’d be happy to explain further? The one thing I can tell you with absolute certainty, is that the tides are not caused by the earth moving in a straight line motion towards the moon, leaving water behind. Kind regards.
@user-qr3jq2dk5s
@user-qr3jq2dk5s Жыл бұрын
@@eduard651 Thanks What is the reason behind Earth's orbit not shifting as it's explained above I think our earth rotates faster than moon so it is not pulled towards moon in straight line ,is it correct and the rear side of the earth which is away from the moon has less gravitational force so greater inertia Is it so???
@eduard651
@eduard651 Жыл бұрын
@@user-qr3jq2dk5s That is absolutely correct, and I wish you would kindly re-post that response on my friend’s example. There is a difference between axial rotating motion and orbital free-fall motion. The Earth is in orbital motion, it has inertia, and for that motion to continue, there has to be a balance at its centre. The tides on the near and far side are out-of-balance, because gravity diminishes by the inverse square and the inertia remains constant. Please read some of the other comments on “wavy’s” video! It’s been nice talking to you.
